Not sure yet. I'm thinking I might splurge and let myself get take out since I haven't gone grocery shopping yet (or properly purged my fridge of stuff that went bad while I was away).

Chances are high that I'll get an ice cream sandwich from a vending machine on my way out though.
 
Wow, this is ****tastic. My mom is now yelling at me because she thinks that the-school-in-south-Florida will view me as not appreciating their scholarship (because I told my friend that I was still "deciding"). That I am "ungrateful" and that I somehow have a "moral" obligation to the-south-Florida-school...? Hello people, they have the waitlist option for a reason.

My friend in turn told me the-school-in-South-Florida wanted to know how the decision-making was going. Well that's nice, school-in-South-Florida. You can call and ask me if you want to know.

I think you'll be golden either way, nola. It's a tough choice but at the end of the day its your life and not your parents. Gotta go with your gut on this one and let the chips fall where they may - the way they're supposed to.

Yeah, we'll see what happens. My decision is not to think about it until I get more information.

Well the school I had planned to attend is gonna be about $130K...but every other option was $197K or higher (assuming I didn't marry my boyfriend or make a huge property investment in Texas).

Yeah I keep trying to figure out with my parents what kind of offer would be "manageable" for the family....(cause this is their entire retirement money we're talking about).

But my parents keep saying "let's wait and see."

So that's what I'm doing. Waiting. And seeing.

Hey does anyone know where we can find the guidelines for waitlist acceptances from AAMC? I'm looking around trying to find out.

oh wow, funny how I got 10 days, haha. The thing is though, I don't know when the clock started ticking for Miami and when it started for Cornell. Does Miami think I have a binding 10 days if I ask for an extension with Cornell...?

Oh and the guy I contacted for roommates flaked out,😡 but apparently I found a free garage apartment through the UTSW website. No utilities except telephone and satellite, but I do not want a TV or else I will watch it, and I will have my cellphone, so basically I will be saving around 500-600 bucks. There are no overnight guests allowed or parties, and I do not find that hard at all. My only complaint is that there is no kitchen. I could get a microwave and a hotplate to warm stuff on I guess, but I think it would be a bit awkward not having a kitchen. I am wondering whether the trade off with saving ~600 bucks is worth the lack of kitchen...
