yea at first i got like 23 cuz i didnt know what i was doing. but it only took a few slaps to get the feel. Now that monkey is hatin life.

hey babydoc! Yea it has been a while. But today is a perfect day to make my 2013 comeback. I'll only be in town a few more days tho then i'll dissappear into the night again, hopefully to return sometime in august. But then again, school will be starting up so we will all probably be super busy. But we'll see, itll take a lot to pull me completely away from 2013 group 😀

Ok all you Drosophila genetics experts out there...

Why would you preferentially choose males resulting from a cross to use for the next cross for a P-element mediated mutagenesis experiment?

I think it is because the males don't need to be virgins for the cross to be valid...

I know I didn't provide many details, but can you think of other reasons for selecting males? The females have a non-autonomous P-element and the males have an immobile one for the initial cross, and we are only supposed to pick males (even though there are phenotypically identical females).

F*** genetics lab. Tomorrow is my last day and I'm trying to go over a report that is due.

I have an A in the class right now, but I'm thinking about just half-a**ing the rest of that report and another one that is due tomorrow and just taking a B or something... I don't think anyone will care and my GPA will go down like 0.01. The problem is that I can't force myself to not try to do a decent job.

Because females are more complicated then males, and never have any idea what they want?
 
QUestion what is considered moderate alcohol intake...LIke i know its 2 drinks a day....but i get drunk pretty much once a week...and i probably drink 12-14 that night....is that considered moderate?

The reason i ask is because im pre-hypertensive and i cant figure out why. I workout alot, im a heatlhy weight, im young, theres not much of a familial history, and i eat healthy...so imt rying to figure it out.

Finals are next week, but I don't have any. I just have 2 genetics lab reports due tomorrow morning, and a genetics lab exam tomorrow too. Then I just have to make sure a hard copy of my thesis is submitted by Friday @ 5pm and I'm all done...

I also have 2 finals... it is no longer 3... dropping that class has gotta be one of the best things that I have done.... Wait, med schools don't care if we have a W on our transcript right? When I called UTSW because I was gonna P/F the class initially, the lady on the phone started laughing at me saying that once you are in, you are in.
