Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
haha ill be starting to pay it off.. 🙁* i jumped on the credit card bandwagon too late. while everyone was getting into debt i was using my debit card down to the last $0.03 hahahaha

i think it may be time to hire a moving company ...😎

Gah. Yeah, it might be. I have no idea how much they cost though. And how on earth do you find one?

Scrubs is going back for another season this fall, but apparently Med school is going to be its primary location (with few trips to Sacred Heart). It looks like Turk and Dr. Cox are going to be teaching... I'm brimming with curiosity.

Weird, but potentially cool.

One more hour and I'm free. Heading up the cabin tomorrow and very excited about it.

quirks, even uhaul has moving services i believe. i know flatrate moving also exists.. i may be more familiar with nyc stuff but im sure google can help 🙂

its weird being at my parent's house.. here i cant help but think "wow this is how i used to spend my days.. idly bumming around the house, taking baths, doing pretty much nothing" contrasted with spending time at the apt with mr.ar...
growing up man.. we're f*cking growing up..

"kids this is why you should wear a helmet"

haha ombd that really cool that you know..
i still cant log into the nyu student portal thingie called Alex because i dont have my info yet 🙁 but i cant wait.. that has everything from schedules to classes to microscope slides to notes.. hehe

good point riceman...
any of you watch nurse jackie? i just caught the first few episodes on demand and its pretty good but i was reminded of the boy who took of his helmet to get a good photo for a magazine while on a bike or something doing a trick and of course he fell and landed in the hospital with a head injury and will probably never ride again.

ha! they just updated ours. I'm interested to look at it against last year's and seen what was changed

oh nice.. does it look intense?

not really... I mean, we're only reqd to go to labs and patient stuff.

But even the schedule schedule doesn't look awful. Some days are 8-5, but that's not the norm (and if its scheduled 8-5, the 10 and 12 hr are usually free). block exams 1.5-3 weeks apart.

I will probably go to class unless I have a real reason (sick, insanely bad weather, really behind on studying for the next day's block test) or an awful prof to where studying on my own would be more beneficial. however, I've heard that most of our profs are awesome

im the same.. i always feel like i will miss something important if i dont go to lecture..and i actually learn wlel enough in a lecture that its generally not a waste of time for me

They do but I'm not in nor moving to a covered area. 🙁 I've been finding stuff on google but it's a bit overwhelming. Thankfully, I've started this process early and should have everything figured out by the time I'm actually moving! 🙂 Thanks!

have you thought about getting a PODS or SAM? they bring it, you pack it, they drop it off where you want it, you unpack it and then they come fetch it.

Exactly. I do too. I absorb pretty well when I'm taught directly. Not as well reading alone.

I don't think I learn very well from lecture, but I really don't know. I need to figure that out.

It's great for getting some crochet done though! 😀 Maybe I'll go at least while I'm making my future niece/nephew's blanket.

my parents are in the middle of replacing my bed at home with a sofabed to make it more of a guestroom/chill room i guess so i have a mattress with sheets on the floor and no bed frame.. the sofabed is coming tuesday lol. this will beinteresting

partly why i loved columbia P&S so much was because they are so lecture heavy.. i like sitting in lectures and taking notes bc when i write it, it sticks better.

Checking their rates now! 🙂 Looked at some similar services so far but they were really expensive.

I'm taking a uhaul, but I'm only moving about 100 miles.

I can't even drive. 😳 I really need to learn.

I like that UMC offers the option either way. Most days are 8-3, 9-4, 10-5... if you go to everything.. but there's also the option of only going 4-5 times a week if you are cool with not going to class.

Speaking of Starbucks....

LOL, Myuuuuuuuuuu, you know too much! I couldnt see the video before because I was on my iPod and the funny thing is:

I'll be living in Fort Worth, about 15 minutes away from Arlington, and it REALLY is like that. Brown flip flops, brick roads (only in front of my school 😛) and a Starbucks everywhere  Dallas is definitely the most pretentious though.......

Funnnn... I'm going shopping for a sofabed next weekend... at this furniture store in my future hometown that is so big it has a CAROUSEL IN IT.

Living in the south, even in big cities, its fairly necessary. There's a lot of spread-out to suburbs around here.

Yeah, I've been lucky so far and lived in places that mean I can get away with not knowing how to drive, but it's starting to be a problem. Like now. Moving would be much easier right now if I knew how to drive!

Grr. Both places want me to call to get an actual number.

a carousel!! jesus..

and quirks, congrats on not driving!!! haha
but in all seriousness if my dad would not have driven the uhaul 10' truck we rented, i would have been screwed for moving.. i have 3!! friends who drive lol

wow. That's so crazy to me. We all drove before it was legal... at least my friends who lived in the country did.
