I ordered the cardio III black edition with my name engraved on it... My wife picked it up from where it was delivered and it will be in my hands in a couple hours! 😍

my dad gave me one of his old ones...its a littman something. I used it when i worked on the ambulance and hope it works for med school.

Damn interested. I don't know if he puts us over-the-top against the Lakers, and Tim and Manu's health will still be a question mark--heck, I'm even a little worried about Tony when he's playing for his national team all summer--but it's gonna give us a shot that i think even the most diehard Spurs fans knew in their heart of hearts that was pretty unlikely before.

It's definitely risky--we're basically saying, we HAVE to win a title in the next two years and then we're really going to suck, because we'll have no hope now in 2010 for Bosh or anyone else. The fact is you can't win a title without someone who's one of the top 5 players in the league (excepting the 04 Pistons, who only won because Fisher knocked the Spurs out with that .4 shot and then the Lakers got injured on the way to the finals, there are no exceptions), and 2 years is really the longest we can even hope that Tim will stay at that level. Bosh will never be a Top 5 guy, and we don't realistically have any chance to get anyone better than that because we won't be able to attract them to a small market when New York and like half of the league will have money.

I will wonder if we couldn't had someone better, but ultimately we did what we had to in order to have any hope to contend here at the end of the Duncan era. Kudos to Peter Holt for being willing to pay the luxery tax to give us that chance; I just hope hope he'll still be willing to spend the midlevel exception to get us a big man like Sheed or McDyess.

yea manu is key. you guys generally draft well, so maybe you can pick up a gem. i think this draft is eghhh, but good things could happen in the 2nd round.


i heard bowen and oberto are likely to be waived and returned to the spurs. i would love to have a bowen type player on the team.
 
So, grades are in... I got 2 A+'s and an A. I am so glad I dropped my molecular bio course.... I wish i dropped it sooner so that I could have had more fun during my last quarter... oh and I found out that I was 0.009 away from Summa Cum Laude... eh well, I am over it... it really does not matter...😀 Unfortunately I realized this after undergrad ended🙁

Oh and as for England, I have no idea... I am not sure where to see/go... any ideas? I am gonna be busy with boring nonfun familyish stuff most of my time, and will have 1-3 days for sightseeing.... I know I have to go to the British museum for sure!

I've heard that as a possibility. Oberto would be nice because we really need another big body, but honestly I'm not sure where Bowen would fit in. He'd clearly lost a step and couldn't stay in front of people anymore; George Hill is a better defender than him now. Since Jefferson, Manu, and Roger Mason are all definitely getting minutes, Finley and Bowen would have to fight over who else gets minutes, and it may be neither if we decide Hill is more of a 2-guard. Wherever he plays next year, you're just not getting the player he used to be.

The draft seems so bad even outside of the top 5-10, that I'm not holding any hope that we'll find anyone who can give us minutes right away in the second round. We might find a guy who can be something given a year or two of seasoning, but we're pretty clearly in win-now mode.

London Eye was lots of fun... I just did one of those double decker red buses in London to see all the sights.
 
I really wanted to talk to the guards at Buckingham Palace like you see on TV... or maybe dance up on them like Fergie :laugh: but you can't actually talk to them or go near them 🙁 boooo

Yeah, I think they probably had some bad experiences with unruly tourists in the past, so they put up that fence 😛

i only got to see 20 minutes of it, but it seems he wants to ease the stress on primary care and reward doctors/hospitals for quality rather than number of procedures. I never caught the how though 😀 I have to watch the whole thing.


I caught some interesting convo about end of life quality of care, which was very interesting too.

So there is some new law in TX about giving us the choice to choose our own electricity. So now I have to choose between 100% renewable energy, fixed and variable rates, length of contracts ?! 😕😕

I'm just hoping that they cut the cram it down our throats by August approach.

If it's going to do anything close to work it needs to be well thought out and not rushed.
