No real plans here... I was hoping to go out to a bar tomorrow which is having a special early 4th of July party, but I think I'm too sick now 🙁
 
Plus, the last time I was there I tipped $38 on a $3 drink because I just pulled out the first three bills in my wallet, and two of those happened to be $20s. So I am now poor 😛

have to prep for clinical visits tomorrow...going to Brigham and Women's STRATUS CENTER......suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuwheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet😀

This. Plus hurricanes scare me. Miami does seem like a much cooler city, but you can't party in a flooded/knocked down building 😉

He should only mention it if it's crucial to who he is and flows neatly in the story of his life and goals. My thoughts are that if he hasn't already thought to put in there, it must not be as important to him...and since he will be checking boxes for his race and ethnicity, it's not like they won't be able to tell.

Agreed, if he can just check the box no reason to put it in the PS unless it adds something to it.
 
Oh and incase anyone is wondering why I am awake at 3:30 in the morning, we just drove back from Dallas, and finally reached home, and I am too hyped on adrenaline to sleep... I had to drive the last 150 miles, and it was dark, and everyone was asleep, so I had to try harder not to sleep....

Pretty good. Sunday is tenatively going to be last day of work. Then I just have to finalize my apartment stuff and I'll be all set for school. Of course I still have 1.5 months til' it start so I'll need to find something to do with myself.

How have you been?

Meh, okay... my plans for England fell through, but oh well, these things happen. I need to do my stuff for before classes start, like loans, TB test/ TDaP shots, background check etc... and finalize when i am moving, confirm where I will be living next year etc...

He'll have plenty of chance to talk about himself in that way, if he really wants to, in his secondaries, but it should only go in his PS if it really influenced his decision to be a doctor. I threw in some mention of Ghana in mine because it was relevant, but not much beyond that.

There was one gay guy I talked to at one of my interviews and he said he had one essay that mentioned the fact that he was gay, and he sent it to some schools that he knew were more liberal and in more liberal cities. I think he's going to Cornell in the Fall.

My left wrist hurts. 🙁 But I made some money! 😀 They had to put in an arterial line for my PET scan. And it took the anesthesiologist over a half hour to do it because my wrists are small.

I have to say, it's really weird to feel your own blood gush out of your wrist and onto your hand. I was looking away when it happened and my thought process was "Wait. That's warm, so it's not the saline this time... Did I just squirt blood out of my wrist???" I kind of wish I'd seen it happen.
 
Another day in the clinic that makes me wish I was Deaf...ugh.

When I was in Toronto, I went up the CN Tower and they had a level that also had a glass floor. That really freaked me out :scared:

Yeah, I have the same sensation every time I donate blood. I'm like "hmm, my left arm feels progressively weaker" :laugh:
