Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
We seem to be rocking the casuals here. No idea what the in-class culture is at your schools.🙂

I wonder if I can get away with sweatpants and a hoodie...but my vote is for jeans and non-flashy casual clothes too. Its only lecture!

Oh how I miss Psych 101 and easy classes.

I'm planning on wearing a jean and T-shirt combo to classes.

Me too! Sooo not going dressed up to class in 95+ degree heat + humidity in Houston. I'm toying with whether shorts are OK on days that I'm not gonna be anywhere near the hospital, but I think that's going too far.

You're just jealous that Robots look silly when dressed up.

😉

Seriously, though, we should dress nice if we are professionals.

Hahaha! you got me there, man

I'm planning on dressing nicer once I hit the clinical years, but the first two years I'm gonna keep the casual college look. 😎

Should I go 100% business casual for classes?

That's up to you, but I think that's overkill just for lectures.

I like hoodies but I'd rather pair them with jeans than sweatpants. Something about the top-bottom sweats combo doesn't work for me.

I crashed my bike today. FML

I fell down while running yesterday. That was pretty embarrassing, especially when cars started slowing down.

Same, although they require us to wear certain stuff to some of the labs during the first two years 👎

ooh bummer man, GL with that. More accidents seem to happen closer to home than anywhere 🙁

Chubbs, you need to wear protective gear - knee pads, elbow pads, helmet, etc - just in the house!

Hey guys...30 days in Boston has come to an end just that quickly. While I am happy I will be getting more sleep and no longer have to deal with the ignorance of the NYLF-Med Boston's PC's, I miss my kids enough to wish the program was still in session.

sigh...🙁

I hope you guys are doing well. I am getting ready to drive to Montreal in the morning...will be there till Sunday morning

What's wrong with scrubs?

well, the scrubs aren't so bad, but in our osteopathic manipulation lab we have to wear these shorts that go just past the knee and are really ugly (sometimes known as 'spants'...or at least by me in middle school ). I hope they get rid of them for next year, I saw some students walking out of lab one day wearing them and chuckled to myself...until I remembered that I might be in their shoes :d

Someone scammed a bunch of women on another forum I go to. 🙁 They're all these really nice, awesome women. It's the forum companion to a perfume oil site, and people swap stuff all the time, and someone arranged swaps with probably nearly a hundred people for some of the rare stuff (some of the bottles are made in limited quantities so they can go for a lot on ebay), but never sent them anything in return (and there was no way she had everything she was promising them). I'd glad that it came out in time that some people didn't send their end of the bargain, but at last count I think somewhere from 50 to 70 people did.

I hope they're able to legally prosecute her somehow. People keep forgetting the internet is still a part of the real world.

In other news, last full work week almost over!:soexcited: And I don't have to work this weekend either!

I think the double-sweats combo is seksi 😍

...for staying in the privacy of your own home, of course. Though I am guilty of walking to the grocery store a few times in them as well. As for wearing it to class: no dice.

:highfive:

I'm still working through next Friday...but we're almost done nonetheless!!!

Congrats Quirks!

Haha, exactly. It's way easier to eat a tub of ice cream in sweats because you don't have to look at the damage you're doing to yourself

Anyone have any idea how to remove the AMCAS letter notification? Our application cycle is over and I'm still get a notification about a missing letter.

No clue, I'm sure it'll go away at some point.

Why, is that abnormal or something? My boyfriend would down a tub of ice cream once a week if he had the money to buy it so frequently...and he's still fit as a fiddle. I eat like a rabbit and go to the gym 5x/week and he's in 50000x better shape than me. Jerk.

Oh genetics, you are a fickle beast 😛

Yeah, it pretty much irks me how men can cut a soda a day out of their diet and lose 15 pounds.

While we sit here with diet coke, water, and salads.

+pity+

😉

But there is that one thing called life expectancy that women do have an edge on...worth it?
