lol not "tired," just... less excitable. It's just more inhibitory input to cortical motor areas and the alpha motoneuron pools. It isn't currently clear exactly why this differs between people, but it is related largely to afferent input (type Ia muscle fibers, class III and IV sensory fibers) and hormones. Quantal release of neurotransmitters, and the recycling of those transmitters, happens so fast that it's kind of inconsequential for fatigue in healthy people.

Ha, I'm in Wearn at Case. Wearn and Satcher are currently bickering (ok, it's mostly me) over which society is actually Gryffindor. I posit that since the Gryffindor house logo is a lion (Wearn) and not a gryphon (Satcher), Wearn is the true Gryffindor, despite the orange color of their t-shirts and banners...

I'm so upset that I missed Chubb's call last night. I was in this lounge in Queens & I couldn't feel it 🙁 I was pretty much a mess anyway so it would have been a bunch of drunk people yelling at each other :laugh:


Azn, I've never chilled in Queens before but the guys at this lounge were... interesting to say the least 😉

It's cool that you have options. We have our an entire week planned out, bar one night when we can go to selection of broadway shows. Overall they planned out a great week for us and since we have no options we will get to interact with everyone in the class.

We are also going on a cruise. What day are you going on the cruise? Our classes may be running into each other.

I've only slept on a futon once and I found it to be uncomfortable. Also, all my friends who opted to get a futon tell me that they find it to be uncomfortable. I think I would rather stick to a twin bed than a futon.

I went Go-Karting yesterday. 😱 It was really nerve-wracking at first, but once I got used to it, it was amazing! (minus the residual motion sickness at the end). I would have had a lot more fun if there was no one else on the track and I could have just zoomed around with no worries about bumping into people or being bumped into.

Our boat cruise is the night of the 24th


I've been on uncomfortable futons too but I bought a really nice mattress for my futon so it feels like a comfy bed 😀

Ours is Aug 17th =( and the first day of class in the following monday.

you definitely will not regret upgrading from a twin size bed.

we have a cruise too but I think I'm going to skip it; its one of the optional, pay extra events along with the outdoor adventure course and a broadway show. since ive never done an outdoor adventure course i figure ill pay for that but ive been on the cruise and seen the show LOL

my friend is actually starting columbia dental. you guys take classes together right?

Ravenclaw is blue and bronze, which mixed together would give the color closest to purple. :shrug:

Hufflepuff is black and yellow. Black is closest to purple I think. Depends on what color purple.

You know, I think it says something about this board they we don't have any of the hug smilies.

Waiting for a vet to call me back. Going to board Chu while I'm here. I think she might actually enjoy it, so I don't feel too bad. They treat pets really well in those places. Yesterday she got to hang out outside with me and Mr. Quirks. I think she liked being in the sun. 🙂
