I have the opposite problem! My lecturers speak so fast. I have to keep rewinding the video to understand what they are saying! Well up north we do talk fast I guess 😉

haha-we have had those too-I had 3 lecturers that I actually slowed down to listen to. But the one today, actually made me feel like him talking about ion simple diffusion could actually kill me (and why we didn't go over this for cell science I just don't understand....).

I basically spent the whole time organizing and email for our cheerleaders (men) for our powderpuff game (woot Go Ligers!) and finding info on iv disc herniation in thoracic spine. Absolutely nothing to do with the Nernst equation 🙁

Usually our lecturers are pretty good, but we had one lady who blitzed through 100 slides in an hour 😱
 
Apparently, I need to put in some extra study time this weekend. I just stumbled through my review session for the entire week (though luckily, it was a short one).

Gotta hit the books! 😳

My school had an econ requirement👍, but my home state has practically no standards for education🙁.

At my school we had to take 4.5 semesters of english. People could probably go without the two film classes everyone took and learn something useful. That is my proposal.

It seems everyday I become more aware that largely our schools do nothing to prepare students for everyday life. Especially when it comes to budgeting and finance type stuff.
 
And as much as I like to insult Texas, I do think they are one of the few states that do a good deal of things right with their public education.
 
Oh, and I passed my drivers test:laugh:. It was me and a bunch of HS kids. I'm just running thorough it as fast as I can with the mind set of "**** it I'll keep using my OOS license if I flunk". But you could see the highschoolers were really sweating it.

I have class from 9-5 mon - wed, and 9-3 on Friday....on thursday I get to share my damn feelings

I mean Lyss is not even paying my bills or saying my name either!!! And I am getting tired of it....

I mean...I am working hard over here learning about p90x....I mean p53, cajal bodies, POD's, sexy biochemical pathways involving every damn enzyme under the sun along with allosteric regulators, and now immuno...and all I get from Lyss is "don't mess up his face".....???????....I mean what!!!!!

They make you take the test? haha, that must have been fun watching those hs kids sweat bullets. I barely passed that thing when I was 16. 82 points baby.

Iowa just makes you turn your old one in...but they also make you have your blasted social security card. Good thing mine was locked hundreds of miles away in my mom's safe, gawwd. Who even uses those things anymore?? My Passport not good enough for you biotch!!??! haha, Im a little angry I made the drive and waited in line only to be told two forms of gov't ID and a birth certificate would not suffice 😡.

Yeah, even if you've already have a drivers license you have to take the written test🙄. At least I didn't have to do a road test though.

My state does this too, and I had the same problem (although my lock box is thankfully only 3 hours away).

"Can we see your SS card."

me: Oh, you need a second ID, ok I have a passport and two picture student IDs.

"No we only accept SS cards"

A lot of bumpity bumping going on.

I want to slap whoever named the enzymes in amino acid metabolism and especially purine/pyrimidine metabolism. They are way too long and hard to remember. Thats all. These next two weeks are shaping up to be pretty insane. 4 exams comin up :lame:.

6-phosphogluco-sigma-lactone has to be the most absurd name I've ever heard.

is it weird that i dont have to memorize the majority of these enzymes?? Just the important ones/rate limiting ones.
