I think it went well. The group interview was no big deal although I've been having this weird scratchy throat lately...water helps 🙂

Something that the dean of admissions said to me has been driving me crazy though....although i am sure it is of no relevance.
I wish I could turn off my brain sometimes :\
 
So now that looks like I will get a 4.0 this semester (barring a collapse on my final tomorrow), I will now wait until after grades to send my as-close-as-possible-to-intent letters to Vandy and Baylor.

Mmmmm.... Sushi.... Unfortunately, I can't afford that for dinner. I'm just going for the cheap Americanized-Japanese food.

Have you ever tried Publix or Kroger sushi before?

Was it Dr Schwartz? Because during the presentation thing, he kept referencing different things from different people's applications and drawing attention to them (like he mentioned the CDC and then he pointed to the girl sitting next to me and said "I know that interests you, right?" -- and I talked to the girl later and she was mentioning how she worked with some infectious disease stuff before)

I think he just likes to hit home that it's a place where they care about you as a person/show that he's seen/read/remembered your app

Hmmm... That's odd. Maybe what he meant is that he feels like he knows you.... From reviewing your file and all... 😕

My friend who is a first year came by and told me that that's just what Dr. Schwartz does. But man I was like "whaaaaa?" at first, cause I haven't even introduced myself yet..not sure if my tag was visible or not but you get the point...

People aren't entirely kidding when they says some adcoms browse this site. Given that you'd talked a lot about having that interview today, that pretty much told him that "Tatastrophy" had to be one of, what, 20 (?) people who were interviewing today. Then other (fairly obvious if you know what to look for) identifying features of your account could probably help him figure out who specifically.

Honestly, I was not at all anonymous with my account last year. There was really nothing I posted on here that I'd be ashamed of an adcom seeing, so even if you got figured out, I don't think you have anything to worry about 🙂
 
After a 4 semester streak of 4.0s, it looks like I'll get a B this semester. Only 2 credit hours but still...

but then I remember...

I've been accepted...

So who cares?!

haha. 'grats to all of you smarties with semester 4.0s!

i got a 4.0 for 5 out of my 8 semesters... junior year was probably the worst time in my life. i'm actually surprised i escaped without more damage to my gpa. alas.

Eh, it's decent. It's pretty cheap though. Publix sushi is a little bit tastier for the same price. But neither compare to getting sushi at an authentic sushi bar.

I'm so glad I got my first B out of the way sophomore year. It would suck to have to keep an overall 4.0 now. My only goal is to stay within the 3.8 range.

I just wanted a 4.0 for this semester to have something to update schools about.

Nice! One B isn't so bad!

Once my school changed to the plus/minus system, I lost my 4.0. Stupid A-'s.

That is why I enjoy the straight scale. 😀

I seem to do my 4.0's in spurts. 4.0 for all freshman year, Organic in sophomore year were the only below A grades I've had in college, and 4.0 Junior year. Something's got to give this year, judging from the past. :laugh:

Yeah same. Got an A- in Gen Chem first semester; probably good that I got humbled early on so I didn't bust my butt THAT badly 🙂

As it turns out, I didn't know it at the time, but I never had a chance for a 4.0 anyways; I got a B in a dual enrollment English class in high school through a community college. So I guess it was REALLY good that I lost my 4.0 quickly, as I would've been PISSED to work so hard for it only to find out I didn't really have it 😛
 
OSU has their head on straight now... I think they'll finally win the big one.

hmmm desire medium, money meh. I'm not making an effort to make it to the game. I just can't afford it now... maybe when I'm a doctor haha.

haha I was using Tatastrophy as a placeholder...you aren't an idiot though 🙂

One of the girls that was interviewing today was also with me at the SLU interview. It was nice to catch up on stuff from last 3 weeks 🙂

haha i had a weird pattern too for a while: freshman, sophomore and junior year i got a 4.0 first semester and non-4.0 second semester. then senior year i reversed it for some reason and got a non-4.0 first semester and 4.0 spring semester. i guess i only had enough smarts in me to get a 4.0 half of each year😛

One semester it was in Drawing and Painting II (because it is a vis arts majors course and graded on a curve) boo!
