Tiger Woods named athlete of the decade.

Shaq received 1 vote.
Kobe received 0.
Tim Duncan received 0.
Barry Bonds received 0.

What the heck?

Tiger dominated in a sport that you really shouldn't be able to dominate though. I guess Kobe would be the best NBA player of this decade, but Shaq did dominate until 2004.

Not very much, I usually get like 5 hours a night.

yea that's around what I get if you average in the weekends (when I pass out for like 10 hours). i wish i was one of those people that could go to sleep whenever but i cant 🙁

Yeah I heart Timmy, but it's Tiger. 2nd place would have been Federer IMO, just nobody's been as dominant as those guys.
NBA best all-time starting lineup. Go.

Mine:
1. Magic
2. His Airness
3. Bird. I think.
4. Tim Duncan
5. Bill Russell. Again, this is hard.
The first four are easy and I won't hear any arguments to the contrary. For center I'm going with Wilt. He never had the supporting cast of Russell or Kareem but still won two titles, and his individual season averages will never be touched--I mean 24.3 points, 23.8 rebounds, 8.3 assists in 1968. 48.5 MINUTES in 1961-1962. And the man was a physical freak of nature; I looked this up just this morning, and apparently he jumped 6-6 on the high jump in high school.

So Wilt.

That's around what I usually get, but I blame myself for not being more efficient with my time 😛

yea I'll agree w/ the first 4 of that all-nba list

as for the center, you can make legit cases for wilt, kareem, russell, shaq and hakeem

Of all of those players, only Timmy made the playoffs every season 😉 And he has more MVPs than those guys. I can see arguments for Kobe, but Shaq really fell off as a dominant player towards the end of this decade.

Well sure, you COULD, but cmon take a stand! And I don't really think Hakeem or Shaq is in the conversation, but that's just me.

I agree/ about Shaq

it's between Tim and Kobe but Kobe will also end the decade strong

the problem with the best of the decades is that people don't work w/n these years.

Shaq in a 10 year stretch from 95-05 is just down right unstoppable

for shaqs run from 95-05 i have never seen such a player who was so domianate besdies jordan. It was laughable how unstopable he was. I dont think you can say that about some of the other great centers of this decade.

Just heard chris henry died🙁.

Yeah, that's fair. If it was 95-05, I think it would've been clear 1. Shaq, 2. Timmy, 3. Somebody very far behind.

So are we in agreement that the decade runs 2000-2009? If that's the case, I think Timmy wins by the smallest of margins, just because Kobe had like 3-4 years where his selfishness really helped crush the Lakers; there's just no excuse for that team which had Kobe/Odom/Caron Buttler not making the playoffs. If this year counts as part of the decade, and Kobe wins another title... I'm not sure then. Kobe's for sure been better 2007-2009, but I'm not sure before then.

lol did they really have no pre-nup?
lol i have no idea, though in the coming months im sure well know. Even if he has a sound pre nup that a good lawyer cant finda way around, his alimony + child support will be like what 30 mil a yr or something sick?:meanie: Still for tiger probably not too big a deal but still.

i wonder with divorce/no golf winnings/ loss of several endorsements how much those women cost him. I cant think of a bigger a fall an athelete has taken in my lifetime.

Yeah... I mean, Kobe fell with his own thing, and I'm sure Magic lost some with the AIDS diagnosis, but neither of those guys were worth a billion.

whatever the terms of tiger's prenup might have been, i think he's violated them 😀

Good morning folks! It's been a long time since I slept so late...

Gotta give props to Kobe. He rehabilitated his image and now he has a chance to be a top 5 player of all time with a couple more rings. Once Tiger starts winning majors again, everything will be forgotten too.

Tiger should have married a ride'n die girl like Hillary.

I agree and I think he took time off to improve his game, as well.

I think he will be hurt if he loses a huge part of his fortune though. He should try to avoid the divorce and get her a 10-15 million dollar ring or house or something. Worth the investment.

Kobe's probably top 10 right now, and he's rising as the Lakers keep winning. Top 5 is getting into some pretty rarified air... I think Jordan/Magic/Bird have to be in there, but then there are a lot of great players who could argue for the other two spots. And when it's all said and done, LeBron will have something to say about the top 5 club too.

top 5 of all time:
1 kobe
2 jordan
3 magic
4 kareem
5 wilt

At the airport being bored. I will be an ice cube in like 6 hours. A high of 38?!?! How do you people survive in weather like that?

our high today...15. you're lucky!

26º with windchill of 23º, which isn't too bad at all. I may not be used to this, but I survive with fleece-lined pants and a good set of sweatshirts and jackets.👍

... it sounds like you're going back for seconds :eyebrow:
haha actually thirds lol
I was in for two cases this morning....had to miss the third one to go to lab group meeting.
My doc likes to visit others in their ORs so I got a glimpse of like 3 other surgeries...I am pumped!
