What's with all the Conan hate? I love Conan... 🙁

I mean he's OK. I think he's quirky in an annoying way... just a couple clicks too far on the weirdo-dial. But I never feel compelled to watch him.

However, I think bringing Jay back so quickly is unfair; you've gotta give Conan some time to grow into the shoes he's trying to fill.

Read the book, it's better and it'll make things in the movie make sense.

book is incredible. for the lazy filth that cant read, movie is equally remarkable.

if you dont understnad it go back to 2md grade

i also want to **** on kisses for not relaying my message

EDIT: ok i read the previous pages. she gets creds.

btw im back from my night slopes. the slopes of VT are bumpin

Cavemen of course. The astronauts suits limit their mobility.
No suits, no clubs, just mano a mano.
drunksi riding = 👍👍👍👍👍
 Where are you skiing again?

Truth. It's one of those books where you finish it and you're just like in a daze for about half an hour afterward because you've gotten hit so hard by what the book is saying.

So yeah. Go read. Then read it again with some sort of guide next to you so you catch all of the symbolism and stuff.

what pissed me off about the movie (other than the fact that it's a terrible movie adaptation) is that now if you read the book after watching it, the entire suspense/surprise is ruined. when you're first reading, the ending is SUCH a shocker.

which one?

Nice 👍

If I ever get a chance to post Sunday night/Monday morning... it should be interesting this weekend 😛

True. I read the book before the movie came out. It is was of the few truly shocking endings I think I've ever read (with the endings of Harry Potter 5 and 6 being the only others that I can remember off the top of my head)

Someone ruined the end of this one for me. I was not a happy camper.

(Whited out on the off chance that someone hasn't read/watched HP6 yet and still intends to)

There was someone at our school when HP6 came out, they made a shirt that read "Dumbledore dies on page___. There, I just saved you a couple of days." And then he wore it around campus and apparently at a mall.

mountain is the beast.

(name the mountain and win a billion bucks)

as for Watchmen: i admit if you hadnt seen the movie, book would be a huge shocker. but as Gospurs suggested, some of them out therte need a guide for the symbolism (which there is a lot of) otherwise theyd be lost. slash attempt to pretend like they understood it. which would be annoying

didn't know killington (?) had night ski

killington?

god you guys are too good! i was hoping for some more inexperienced individuals.

i was at some mole hill near killington.

i got 8 runs for 15 bucks. 15 for the last 2 hours. it was ok. kinda awful actually but they had live music and beers at the top of the lodge at the end of it.

k-mart is a tourist trap anyway. this mole hill sounds like whaleback, which had similar deals iirc... so did quechee

were you at that party friday night early in october?
Hmmm. Friday night, early October. Care to be more specific?

i always rotate between being intj/istj/estj/entj

i think i change depending on what my surroundings are
I tend to go INTJ/ENTJ/ENTP/INTP. ENTP is what I got today.

Looking forward to a new Zelda game coming out. Hope it doesn't take five more years.
Zeldaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

redrower would like you all to know that he is skiing drunk. And it's awesome.
Wow, and you thought sporting without a helmet was bad for admissions.:meanie:

that's pretty sweet. i actually like stratton the best... mostly 'cause that's where all of my amazing childhood skiing moments (as if) took place. actually i grew up closest to berkshire east, the crappiest slopes of all but we went there all the time

wow! very impressive! yes it was whaleback. the live music was ACTUALLY very good. their slopes sucked. but it was entertaining. bunch of f*gs skiing in their little numbers. they got real riled up when boarders rushed by them. so slow 😛

i used to go there here and there for quick night runs. bud of mine lives in wilder so it's like 5 mins away. dartmouth is sick, would love to go to their medschool just so i can be that close to the monster hills they got up there.

Wooooooo back from free dinner at O'Henry's Thanks for the rest of the happy bday wishes! And Metallica, yes, lots of people here are snobby rich kids (no offense if any of you guys are rich...as long as you aren't snobby.)

you ride or ski? id dude...this area is real isolated. i spent my summer here and theres nothing to do unless you know people. people are very granola-heavy. 40% of the people i saw biked to work. 75% of the population works at DHMC
very small community

heres an excerpt

"
three years before Marvin Harrison was born, there was another man on the streets of Philly who faced a similar sort of fight-or-flight decision. His name was Marvin, too.
Marvin Greer was a 16-year-old gang member. He lived in a high-rise housing project in South Philly. On January 15, 1969, Greer and three friends spotted a boy from an enemy gang. The boy ran. Greer and the others chased him. When Greer caught up to the boy, he pulled out a four-inch pearl-handled knife. He stabbed the boy in the back, killing him, and threw the knife into the sewer. He pled guilty to second-degree murder.
About five years later, in 1974, Marvin Greer died suddenly at age 22; there was no mention of his death in the newspapers, and the cause remains a mystery. Before he died, Greer fathered at least three boys with different mothers. (Back then in Pennsylvania, juvenile felons were furloughed for good behavior, affording them a certain freedom of movement.) The eldest boy was Marvin Harrison.
The next was Markwann "Coots" Gordon. From 1995 to 1997, Gordon participated in a string of seven armed robberies in Philadelphia. According to a 1999 account by Kitty Caparella, the dean of Philadelphia's crime reporters, Gordon was one of "the Philadelphia Mob's two top associates in the African-American underworld," an enforcer with the Junior Black Mafia. Gordon is currently serving 140 years in a federal prison in White Deer, Pennsylvania.
After Gordon came Marvin "Back to Back" Woods. On September 3, 1991, when Marvin Woods was 17, he was playing in the championship game of a schoolyard hoops league when his coach took him out of the game, subbing in another boy. Woods got angry. He left the game. When he rode back on his bike, twenty minutes later, he was carrying a Tec-9. He sprayed his substitute with bullets, killing him, and rode off. Marvin Woods is currently serving a life sentence for first-degree murder at the State Correctional Institution in Dallas, Pennsylvania.
So those are Marvin Harrison's half brothers. In more recent years, Marvin Harrison's cousin Lonnie Harrison, age 41, has been convicted of robbery, drug possession, and possessing an illegal firearm. And in 2000, another cousin, Isa Muhammad, was murdered in the aftermath of an eight-man shoot-out that also wounded a 10-year-old girl. The police described the murder as a revenge killing."
