haha i ate doughnuts for lunch.
and in about an hour i am going for my long run.
I have been waiting for it all weekend and am so excited!

Ah, I just found out I was pretty much lied to by my old PI. I was not named second author on a paper like she said I would be. All I got was a ****ty acknowledgment that didn't even credit me for all the work I did.

What The ****!😡
 
dude that sucks. when your lab passed around the drafts of the manuscripts to edit, did it always have you as a 2nd author? that's ****ed up that they would erase u from that

Isn't it quite a transition going from pre-med to actually accepted?


Sometimes I'm like this --> :scared: (thinking about financial aid, moving, my dog, etc.)

with periods of this --> 😍

and, last night, definitely a lot of this --> 😎

edit: random, but is anyone reading cutting for stone?

I've been to the Indy 500. It was pretty much the craziest sporting event I've ever seen. And MLB is great stuff all the time. 👍

Did you see the footage they showed last night of the mens speed skater who got bronze in the 1500? A few years ago he had one of his skates stuck in his leg and needed like 70 stitches.
 
yea cavs are probably gonna get amare and j rich for big z and jj hickson. big z will get cut and return to the cavs.

i still think lakers are a far better team
 
Lundi gras is the day before mardi gras! Lundi = Monday; Mardi = Tuesday Gras = Fat.

Tomorrow is Fat Monday, then Fat Tuesday, then Ash Wednesday!

i definitely know what you mean about the conflicting emotions. i'm so happy to be in, but then between not knowing for sure which school i'll be at (and probably won't know til late spring/summer) and just thinking about adjusting to med school life, it's quite nervewracking!!

The quote is actually from the poem "to a mouse" from Robert Burns. The book was named after the poem. Great book!

We'll see. Those two teams are definitely in a league of their own, with the Magic really being the only other team with any chance. Spurs and Celtics are too old barring a trade, and nobody else has their level of talent.

I think I like the Cavs before the trade in a 7 game series with the Lakers... and I think the trade would make them better. But it's hard to gauge how good the Lakers truly are when they've been injured/coasting all year.

There are streets like that all over in big cities, though; I know there are all kinds of places where you have to do that in San Antonio.

haha in Atlanta...."straight" pretty much does not exist. Oh and it is not at all uncommon for a street to be named 3 or 4 different names depending on what stretch of it you are traveling.
