Hey, I've been reading all about the trials and tribulations of my fellow premeds. I'll be on for a little bit but I have to go to bed early. I'm up at 5:00 tomorrow for a charity bike ride. Should be fun but why do they always start at 6:30?

I just read through all the posts I missed and that top 🙂thumbup:ksmi) was the only one that actually made me laugh out loud. I guess it's because I had to use Linux for my lab, so I actually get what top means in Unix.

Morning peoples!!! Well, afternoon I suppose. So I totally didn't think that medical schools recruited, but so far I've gotten emails from two schools telling me how awesomely amazing they are and such - UAB and MCW... random.

How do I get med schools to like me like this, oh yeah, I'd have to study for the MCATs for the rest of my life then take them when I'm about ready to retire.

I hate my Cell Bio class. That test was too hard.🙁

And what is this emails from med schools you guys are getting? How come I haven't gotten anything? So depressing.🙁

So I just had a fun 8-hour-no-break shift in the ER. I got to give drugs, make patient assessments, start IVs and watch the doc all day. It was fun, but it's kind of a fake ER. They only stay open till 10p.m. then they ship all the sick patients to other hospitals.

Quite the opposite really. Most people here are applying this summer to get in in the fall of 2010. This thread is just where we hang out and chat about random stuff, sometimes premed, sometimes not.

to SDN! This specific thread is about whatever we happen to be thinking at the time. There is some useful stuff in here, but there is also random stuff. Most of the time, we're pretty all over the place. But we are all applying this summer (save the few 2013ers who hang out here because they are jealous of our awesomeness).

This thread serves no specific purpose. Basically it is a place to vent while applying for medical school for a place in the Class of 2014. It is more of a social thread, but since it is under the protection of a mod, the Great Kiss Me, it will not be moved to All-Students Forum...

WoW.. im a complete idiot. I totally didnt realize that people applying this summer.. (and hopefully getting in).. would be the class of 2014. It just seemed so far away that it didnt seem right... sigh. I actually applied last summer and have racked up my rejection letters. Not a damn thing but rejections. Re-taking my MCAT June 18th... and re-applying. I graduated from UC Berkeley in May of 2008.. didnt do so hot on the mcat the first time around.. so wish me luck during the 2nd.

Good luck with the MCAT! Since you're finished with undergrad you should be able to focus on it and hopefully raise your score. Good for you for sticking with it.
