You know, I don't even find the girl in Lukkie's pic attractive anymore... I think she looks too masculine now... Just not doing it for me. You should get a new one Lukkie. You've had that one for ages!

How dare you edit out your affections! 😡

Why use OOS interviews that doesnt make a whole lot of sense? Georgetown only interviews 9% of their OOS applicants going by those standards does that mean they are OOS unfriendly?

But Georgetown gets like 13,000 OOS applicants.

Well if they're going to do that non-stop then I think it'd be worthless. Let's say you're 2 weeks into med school and they give you and 4 other people a description of a patient. Then you 5 have to come up with a plan over the next week. I don't think that'd be nearly as productive unless you've had physiology, anatomy, biochem, and pathology first.

Even then, why give them a scenerio? Just send them to the clinic.

I think PBL makes people think, something that most of premeds I know have a very difficult time doing. It's just a personal choice, so I can definitely see why you might not like it. I just think it would be a better way to learn and apply the information in a risk free environment. Plus, I learn more efficiently by examples and assimilation.

I can also see Lukkie's point, but I don't know. I think EVMS might have a pretty good system down. They seem very student oriented there.

I'm kinda sick.

Dude, I was sick over finals week too. It sucked. Oh, then I got this girl sick (I did warn her first though), so she was sick yesterday and had to run a 1/2 marathon today. I felt pretty bad...

oh yeah, I want to go to a PBL heavy school also. Traditional lectures are not best for me.

👍 I'm with you on this one, Caesar. PBL is more my style as well.

Awww, you want to be Elton John. If you really want to.

I think I would like a curriculum with both, preferably with more lecture style though.

I was thinking some more along these lines, Lukkie:

Yeah, I hear you. I'm just a more PBL type of guy.

I also prefer the block system. I don't like taking a lot of subjects at one time for an extended period of time, I would rather take one for a short period of time, then move on to the next, etc.

Ah, like in high school. The good old days.

Or here's another for you Lukkie... Oops, it looks like she's losing something...

Oh wait! This one would work too!

Kind of looks like the girl I just got sick too...

Be careful with those Pics, 0.

Yeah, the one on the water was as questionable as I would go.

It pushed the bounds, but I think it's still safe. 😉

Now the last one...

I agree. UVA will have this when they implement the new curriculum in 2010. Just a heads up for those of you applying. UVA will also have an amazing new building for the med students. My lab is right behind this.

It's hiding behind the cartoon? :meanie:

That's cool, man. I think Block systems are one of my main criterion's for selecting schools. My second is area, third is reputation (maybe this is tied for second, but I would take a block system without the rep over a traditional with the rep).

I haven't given much thought to order. Hmmm.

Some of those pictures are stomach-churning for sure.

Imagine if FBI officials decided to go through 0C's computer, and found out theses pictures in his system. They would be like wtf?

if FBI officials went through BlueElmo's computer he would be in jail

I think I'm gonna drop NYU and choose one from amonst Michigan State, Virginia, or North Carolina. Any suggestions?

You mean like this one?

Or were you referring to ones like this:

lol reminds me of this porn where the woman is getting drilled but the camera pans to the side to reveal some little kid in the room

Because sometimes the background is just so much more entertaining.
