Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would suck.

How many teams are usually on the bubble and cause controversy each year? About 3 or 4.

So you add 27 more teams that weren't even in the discussion just to add those 3 or 4 teams. There will always be arguments on the borderline - just like the BCS. Even if there were a playoff, 8 or 16 teams, there would still be arguments over who the last at-large teams should be.

A dude on ESPN was saying that an expansion would just make it worse. I think I agree.

I just don't want to see an expansion to 96 teams or whatever they're proposing. Seriously, what are the chances that a bottom 30s team would win it all? If that happens it will be all about money.

me either. it seems like it's a good size now but if you start going any bigger it would just be wayy chaotic and impossible to follow. it also wouldn't be as special to make it and kind of diminish the regular season.

Yeah. I mean it would be cool to have more games to watch, but I think some crap teams would start to get included.

Anybody know when the women's bracket comes out? My school was pretty good this year.

i'm still not really sure how i feel about a playoff in college football. on the one hand, it might solve some controversy and help the tcu's and utah's of the world. but at the same time there'd always be people on the bubble left out and i kind of enjoy the bowl system anyways.

expansion is horrible. 64 teams is perfect because it still makes getting into the tournament an accomplishment. with 96 teams, making the tournament would be so much easier. it takes away from having to play good teams in the regular season and then the regular season would suck and good teams would just play poop out of conference schedules.

I would love a college football playoff.

Yeah, it's bad enough that teams make it in from power conferences with .500 conference records. To me, that's watered down enough - no need to do it more.

This year was a very good year for mid-major at-large teams, though. That's good, it adds excitement and cinderella stories.

Playoff is a must in college football. Just like change in the overtime rule of the NFL is a must and both are inevitable. Although the change they proposed for the NFL is ridiculous. But college football will go to a playoff soon. They play the bowl games in january anyways so they might as well use the time between the end of the season and january to have playoff games.

i'm not so sure. if they think the bowl format brings in more $$ than a playoff would (which i remember people projecting on espn before), there's no way they're switching. it would be cool to see them try a playoff though and give those undefeated teams from the mid conferences like the mountain west a chance. it'll definitely be interesting to see what happens.

.....

Taking a poll.

Should a guy (not naming any names.......) know these lyrics without looking them up:

womanizer woma-womanizer you're a womanizer oh womanizer oh you're a womanizer baby you you you-ah you you you-ah womanizer womanizer womanizer WOMANIZER

The big bowls make good money. But all those crap bowls like the pizza bowl and the alamo bowl lose money. They don't sell any tix cause they are at neutral sites and the fans don't care about football teams that only win 6 games in the season. I mean they make money from the tv contracts and stuff, but it's so dumb. They reward too many teams in college football. Winning 6 games is way too easy. They should at least make 7 or 8 wins, so the truly elite teams get in. I know it screws up the scheduling because teams won't play other good teams, but still I hate bowl games where it's Texas A&M vs. Western Michigan or something of that nature. Playoff just makes way more sense.

Every year a guy from Yahoo! Sports does a mock 16-team playoff. It's a really good system he uses, almost like basketball.

All the conferences get an automatic bid, and then there are at-large bids. The first 2 rounds are held at the higher seed's home IIRC, which makes weather a factor (awesome), and then the last games are held in the big BCS bowls in traditional locations.

Brittney Spears? They overplay that song, I hear it everyday.

but who doesnt love the little cearers bowl or the meinekie car care bowl?:laugh:. Theres too much money to be lost for the major schools if they quit the bowl system, doubt it will happen anytime soon. But playoffs would make it more interesting at least to me. Honestly i only check out maybe 3-4 bowls max.

I actually like the current overtime rule in the NFL. Or don't mind it at least.

that sounds like it would be pretty awesome. it would be cool to keep some of the bowl history alive if they do switch over to a playoff.

I declare this individuals man-card void.:meanie:
BTW, ksmi, you never answered me on how you study for Biochem...
I sit and do brute memorization of pathways.

Nice pic.

The key for my studying for the rest of tonight is to figure out the perfect combination and format of things to put on my cheat sheet (that is permitted, of course). This will prove vital to my success or failure.

There I changed it. While changing it a girl was going to show me two of her sexual body parts (on chatroulette, my new best friend), but as she was going to show me them my firefox decided to freeze. The man is always trying to hold me down man.

Having fun tonight Oakland?

I accidentally bought lays instead of durritos. 😡

But chyea, I'm having a blast. Dicky V is yelling about water down the tournament. He's calling virginia tech the heart break hotel, ironic cause of the shootings.

Chatroulette is :barf: and :scared:
You just have to be quick to hit F9.

Seniors are signing up for classes, I hope laughter therapy and healing modalities doesn't fill up. I need as many four points i can get bfeore applying.
