Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hoody are you that aggressive? 😉🙄
I'm pretty aggressive on the forums (or at least all my warnings indicate that, lol). I am aggressive with my words, I seem to have a sharp tongue. I believe that's why I would make a good lawyer. Quick on my feet, and Im always up for a good debate.

In real life, I am actually rather shy. I dont like a mass of people (i.e. crowds), but just enough people. I am most definitly a homebody.

SDN site going down for in 6 mins. 🙁

+pad+

Something to listen to during the break:

Slice n Dice. Orthopaedics is where it's at. Get the saw and chisel out.
chiseling at stuffs is not all fun and games...actually it is no fun and games. Had to chisel a block of plaster to make my sculpture....GOOD GOD what a PAIN IN THE *****. (I have really awful blisters to prove it)

It's easy to be aggressive on a forum.

In life, I speak softly and carry a big stick.

Wow, Duke will make you an excellent surgeon 🙂

this video represents me walking around campus:

I feel as though I have slowly made myself the class of 2014 DJ.

This one is for floaton when she logs back on:

Wow just listened to it and it gets really inappropriate. The only part that is meant for floaton is the whole floaton part, not the part about the female body parts.

Is MDApps working for anyone? It was boggy for a few days, but now its completely gone (have tried accessing it from multiple compus). boo! 🙁

National title game to today in womens hockey...Cornell vs. University of Minnesota Duluth. GO RED!

...and it is way past the Tats bedtime.

Yeah, MDApps is down for me as well.

You at work Hoody or are you normally nocturnal?

My history teacher in high school played women's hockey and women's lacrosse. I was a pretty recognized football player, but I swear she could take me in a fight.

Work. We work 12s...I work 3 days one week and 3 1/2 days the next week. Basically in 14 days, I have to work 6 12's and one 8hr shift. But as long as I have 80hrs in two weeks, its all gravy. And its self scheduling, so that's a plus.

Sometimes I love my freaking job. But most of the time I sit around wishing I was the nerdy resident behind me...

Last night I finally told my SO that I signed up for the summer MCAT and that I *might* be considering med school. Up until this its only been MBA/JD/NP that we've discussed. He was soooo elated, but now he wants to run around and tell everyone and I'm like NO!!!!

It's down for me too.

This is what MDApps translates to me:

Oaklandguy, you probably aren't gonna get into med-school w/ less than a 33 MCAT. If you do get more than a 33 you're going to Wayne State or something that tier. If you get a 38, you can apply to U of M and Northwestern and those tiers, but you still won't get in. If you get a 41, you will get in, but they will still talk **** to you about your gpa at your interview.

only three medical/surgical overflow patients tonight....so nothing critical going on. mostly just needy patients (I need a back rub, I need to wee, etc). yawn.

Nice!!! So have you changed your status to Class of 2015, or are you still thinking class of 2016??

This is what MDapps says to me:

Hoody. You talk entirely too much about things that are totally taboo. Shut your mouth and delete your profile link. You're mean. And you aren't getting into med school.

I gave a pt a backrub during volunteering and got yelled at.

I gave a nurse a backrub during my volunteering and got complimented.

meh. I could totally put a rush on things and apply to the 2015 cycle, but I think I will have a *much* better shot at 2016. My SO says there's no harm in trying ("its only money") but I think that If I apply 2015 and dont get it, it will put extra stress on the 2016 cycle (as in MORE improvements. ugg). He applied twice because he basically waited till the deadlines each year perfecting his app. 🙄

Yeah. I'm dealing with the same thing, I can take the MCAT w/o studying, got a 33 on a practice, and apply in like 3 months, but I think I'm gonna wait it out. It seems crazy that I'll be applying in like 13 months from now, it's gonna go by so fast.

err 15 months or whatever it is, it's just crazy even thinking about it.

I've only taken two full length exams, and got a 29 on both. I haven't started studying (other than mcatquestionaday ). But my GPA is super sub par. We are talking like 3.4ish for sGPA and slightly lower for regular GPA. I have taken soooo many credits (I have like 150+ hours!) so its hard to really bump that bugger up. Im gonna have to rock the MCAT.

Speaking of DJ's....Three 6 Mafia and Tiesto is not a combo I thought I would ever see. Song is just starting to get hot around here.

And I'm eating a margarita flavored cupcake. REBEL!!!

I feel ya. I have a decent science gpa, 3.6, and thats about where my overall gpa is too. Hopefully I can be @ 3.7 when I apply. If I'm @ 3.7, with volunteering, research, and EMT work as well as a sexy 35+ on the MCAT I'll feel decently confident going into the cycle.

Yeah, Sean Kingston is on it too. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it's on the radio everyday over here.

I'm contemplating wearing a robe to the next costume party I attend.

this: I was wondering what you guys thought about it? I didn't think a big deal of it at the time, but then again I'm slightly biased 🙂
Hilarious! I'm wearing a Mich State hoody as we speak!...and I'm from the MW conference.

😉

Lets. Go. Spar-tans! 👍

I hate refs. I love to heckle them. Unfortunately we need them.

Hell yea, Go Green Go White!

Of course I can hear the echoing "Can't read Can't write" in the background. You have any ties to MSU?
MSU >> MTU >>>>> NMU. 😀

I love Spartan hockey....and its my bfs alma mater.
