Yeah, I have weights. I'm not buying anything else. :laugh:

I have a pretty decent set-up in my basement which makes doing those videos pretty convenient. I like Ab Ripper X a lot and feel as though P90X is more of a whole body thing. The arms and back of Insanity was kind've a joke IMO.

I can't make a steady work-out schedule though cause my schedule is ridiculously transient. I try to hit the bench every week and try to get 2-3 runs in a week, but I even struggle to keep that up. Of course I cram junk food while studying as well and that doesn't help anything.

That was the other route I could have gone. :laugh:

I used to just do 100 pushups almost everyday and a bunch of free weight exercises for the upper body.

Then I would elliptical about 4 or so times a week for 30 minutes on a very high resistance going pretty fast.

I had a double whey protein shake for breakfast every morning.

How I wish I could go back to those days of perseverance. :laugh:

I'm actually semi-interested just because it's so unusual to hear a guy endorsing this.

Best-butt workout. I was a pitcher in high school and you use your buttocks a ton when you pitch. A lot of the same exercises we did to strengthen our core and butt are in Leandro's workout. Squatting with weights always took a toll on my back too, but the different types of squats in his videos are easy on the joints while you still get the burn in your glutes and hams. I don't think I would do any other part of the video though. Apparently a guy lost 46 pounds doing it though.

I would say that my inability to sleep has become a real problem.

That's how they get you, I would never be awake that early if I had the choice. The other day Tim Horton's was doing random acts of kindness and the lady in front of me paid for my coffee which was like $1.37 and so I was supposed to pay for the person behind me. So, I say sure. Their order was like $12 and change and I just said, sorry I only have 3$ and she said don't worry about it, so I got a free coffee 🙂

Me too. I get off at 0800 and teach CPR 0900-1300. Then I'm supposed to drive 45mins to another town for a NIT BB game that starts at 1900 if it doesn't drop the 6-9 inches of predicted snow. ugh.

also had to go to this wedding expo thing-not so much fun haha. i'm so not girly when it comes to things like that, but i'm the maid of honor so i try to be as enthusiastic as possible😛 at least they had free food including delicious choc covered strawberries!

now i have to drive ~2 hours back to my house so i get there in time to pick the little one up from preschool. see you all in a bit!

I loved Shutter Island! Definitely a top 15 movie for me!

And what's a wedding expo? Chocolate covered strawberries are always good 🙂.

Shutter Island is a psychological thriller. No horror, but it had scary moments. It is an excellent movie!
 
Have you guys seen this Insanity workout program? Way too expensive but wow it looks hard core.

I've done it. I personally enjoy P90X a lot more, but insanity is nice because it doesn't take as long. I lost more weight and gained more muscle doing P90X though.

Looked at the nutrition guide this morning -- it actually seems like a LOT of food...not sure I can eat that much. I usually eat 1600 cals a day and its telling me to eat ~2800 😱 you don't burn 1000 cals in a workout. It's just not possible

It isn't the workout that takes 1000 calories (unless you are running 10 miles lol), it is the spike in metabolism. Intense exercise does that.
 
I think I'm actually kind of addicted to the 'cramming' study method. I love the rush it gives me - trying to absorb as much as possible the night before the test and seeing what happens.

Need to change that....

yea i agree. its hard to kick the habit though. i think i still suffer from caffeine addiction from cramming

i think we all do this but i wonder if its going to come back to own me come med school. That doesnt seem like the type of thing you can cram 😛

I was a habitual crammer until I got into Organic Chemistry. That's when I actually formed decent study habits.

That's also when I realized it wouldn't work and I should stop.

However, I didn't form decent study habits and got Bs and here I am today, studying almost the same way. :laugh:
