Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
That sucks.

It's nice that I can take washer/dryer off my necessities list in an apartment in New Orleans in a worst case scenario. I'll just do laundry at my parents' house.
👍 the less things you have to worry about, the better

i guess i could just postpad a bunch of times, but i think that's pretty lame

it's like the equivalent of someone filibustering by just reading a book
somewhat ironically, i feel like quoting yourself actually seems less like you're having a conversation with yourself than just posting multiple times in a row

Unfortunately, I have a lot of things to worry about.

At least searching for housing can help my mind move past Baylor. It will be nice to live in the city and not 25 miles out, like I've done for 18+ years.
you planning on living with roommates? or alone?

ok i'm legitimately going to stop posting so much. trying to get 50 posts in 45 minutes before the shutdown is too absurd

I want to filibuster one day. It sounds fun (as long as you're the filibuster-er, not the filibust-ee). I think that terminology was correct, idk.

I find it interesting for a little while. You can claim insanity instead of post-padding.

yeah, i think creative post padding is ok. just posting the post pad smiley over and over again is sort of lame

or i could be like BB and just post random pictures of PAD related objects

with 60 million dollars, i would probably
1) make sure my family was all set (parents' retirement, siblings' tuition)
2) take a few years off and go everywhere and anywhere
3) either go to med school anyway (wow graduating with no debt!) or become a teacher at some random school in the middle of nowhere

Travel conmigo?

no. sigh...i might be better off just waiting until the morning and laying all the clothes out to dry in the sun

...because it's always sunny in CA! unlike here. 😡

I'm going to live with a high school friend that is finishing up his undergrad and working full time. He should be a great roommate as far as I can tell.

Roommate dynamics work far better with only 2 people, there's no odd wheel and majority decision. One of my current roommates was perfect last year, but when we threw in another one the dynamic shifted and I got screwed.

yeah, that's an excellent decision. i think i want a roommate but i'm skeptical of getting a med student roommate. I think seeing the same person alllllll the time would get tiring eventually

I think my order would be:
Australia/New Zealand > South America > Europe > Africa > Asia

Of course, specific regions of these areas would determine order a lot more than the continents as a whole.

actually i think it would work out if you knew you could get along with the person, but it's really hard to know that before you actually live with them.

Exactly.

I wanted a med school roommate at first, but then figured it would be better to have a non-crazy-partier non-med student roommate.

What if I'm finished studying for the day and want to play Rock Band? He'll get pissed off and I won't be able to do anything.

When I'm older and richer, I will definitely do one of those cruises to Antarctica.

I want to go everywhere I possibly can, maybe some of that stems from my lack of diversity in vacations as a child. We vacationed a lot, but not many different places.

same, we mostly went on road trips in and around california

kind of makes sense, though, since there are a lot of places in and around california to visit

If I keep this sleep schedule for the next 2 weeks or so, I will definitely catch up to ksmi and get 2nd place in this thread.

I'm not sure if I would be happy or disappointed in myself...

you could be disappointed in how happy you are with yourself

later guys

Later.

Yeah, California is really diverse. That's probably why so many people love it (and I why I want to go there). I don't think it's the utopia that many SDNers make it out to be, though.

yeah, it's pretty crazy expensive in a lot of parts

i think oregon is actually pretty underrated

We've only done 4 pages since 10 - the morning people shouldn't be too perturbed.

BB and Sammich's thing took up 8 or 9 pages, I think. In the span of like 1 hour, too.

part of me feels bad for the morning crew when we start posting a lot at night

part of me feels bad for the morning crew when we start posting a lot at night

but then the other part of me doesn't really care since they probably don't read it anyway

also, as much as i enjoyed JJ's advice, I think it doesn't help too much when I post right after myself

although i guess people are more likely to post actual updates about their application process in the daytime

Nice weather, good food. That's all I think about. Ooops, and cool blobs. Almost forgot that one.

i will if you will

Rain check? I gotta go to bed. I actually have a full day of classes to go to in the AM!

Is it lame that I would like to get 10,000 posts before I start med school?

I think so. 🙁 I just like numbers.
nah, people have all sorts of strange goals. having nice round numbers as milestones to achieve isn't that weird
