isn't it like valdecitorian and salutatorian?

BTW, in my high school, our school voted on valedictorian. 10 of the best academic people on the ballot, and people voted one. So lame.

I'm going on a 5-day tour thing through Yosemite, Vegas, Universal Studios, etc etc this week. I probably won't be on SDN that often, if at all.🙁

OMG, what happened to school-specific threads?

I have no idea what you are talking about.

more than one valedictorian?

My high school had 5 my year. There was supposed to be only one but one of the others threw a tantrum because she had gotten A's in her classes, and wouldn't have gotten it.

we had percentage grades (like 95) instead of letter grades, so i think a tie was just really unlikely

mine had 6, 4 of them were 4.0 unweighted, the other two had the highest weighted tho didnt get straight As

just read that too.. entertaining, but really, i mourn for CNN as a news organization

you don't like your news organizations to spend half their time talking about what people are tweeting?

and the other half of their time talking about what people are putting on facebook?

apparently there was a hs in the area that had 9 valedictorians. 6 of them had like a 2400s on their SATs. 1 of those 6 did not get into any college

I think having more than one valedictorian is kinda dumb. They only do it because people will say it's unfair if they get straight A's or whatever and don't get it. I think kids need to get used to not everything going their way, though. In life, sometimes only 1 person can get something.

+1. The everyone gets a gold star mentality is one of the things slowly killing this country.

My thoughts exactly. Though, I would have still gotten it. Maybe I wouldn't feel the same from the other side. Funny picture from that though. All our valedictorians:

Or you could be like me, and not get valedictorian or national honor society because a teacher on the committee didn't like you for some reason with unweighted 4.0, 14 AP 5s and 28 credits at a top 25 UG... no I'm not bitter at all...
