i love reggie. Probably the best pure shooter ever? At least somewhere on the top of that list. Though he did kinda have that non human alien look too him like rondo does. But dude was legit.

and dingy you are the biggest homer of all time😛. Seriously though i agree that was a "hard" playoff foul but in todays NBA those "hard" fouls just arent allowed like they were in jordans era and before. They are making the game less and less physical each year. This is a good game though, much better then the crap that was the 1st.

Man this is such a good game, so much better than the blowout of the Suns yesterday.
 
Poor ball handling right there. Anyone think Dwight Howard is overrated? Or at least not at superstar status yet? I think he's not mean enough to be a devastating center.

MAD overrated. Its like tebow overrated. the dude sucks on the offense end. Just garbage. Hes not even close to being a superstar. Great player sure, but until he can dominate offense like he does defense, theres no way id consider him anything more then a good player.

Rondo pulled that off nicely. I didn't see the one on Dwight, but to me it always seems like he looks at the refs after every single call on him. I never see him get in another player's face, but always in the refs faces.

I just think he needs to get angry. Every good big man I've known has been mean and angry, even young shack. But Dwight is always laughing and they do that whole cute Superman and Clark Kent thing... It's cool that he has personality, but that won't get it done. If you are playing in the post you have to be mean and extremely physical and almost a little dirty to be successful.

dwight has no real skill besides athleticism. i think he still gets beat for positioning on defense and gives up space in the paint. but since he's so quick, tall, versatile, he can make the blocks. i think lebron or someone else deserved the DPOY (paul p. is playing totally different this series).

with that said if you were building a franchise, dwight has to be the 3rd person picked after lebron, durant because of the position that he plays

Dwight is only 24 too. The thing about Dwight is the potential he has is unreal. His ceiling is soooo high, but something needs to click with him. It's almost like he's not giving 100%. And of course he doesn't have the moves, the 15 foot jump shot, etc.

yea definitely. as long as he learns to hit his FTs, he will be great, imo. i dont know if he will ever get the jump shot, but a little turn around hook or becoming a better passer would go a long way, esp with all the shooters on that team

i know im not saying hes a bust or something, i mean theres plenty of time. Its just people, analysts, ESPN, etc all want to anoint him as the next like shaq or bill russel. Those guys are 2 of the best to ever play the position and were straight dominant in their eras to the point it was kinda ridiculous. howard cant even dominate kendrick perkins lol

Yeah, another aspect to his game would definitely help him blossom into a superstar. The freethrows would be huge as well.

He seems like a mean dude, I can imagine him having lots of animosity. I think he's one of those players that a lot of people don't like though, kind've like an Anderson Varejao or a Ron Artest. You don't like them if their not on your team.

Perkins is a worker though, you gotta respect that. I don't like when Varejao is on the opposite bench, but I respect his intensity

Yeah man I figure. I'm not going to lie, I haven't reached my potential on the research front and in general I've been a let down. I setup experiments and I get results and what-not, but I am having trouble doing simple things such as running gels or washing cells, so I have to run experiments over which sets me back a week or two and wastes money. So now my PI is doing every single experiment I'm doing in case mine don't work... I don't blame him, he needs publications for funding etc. What sucks for me is that I read articles on a certain signaling transduction pathway that occurs in human development and suggested to him that it plays a roll in neurogenesis and neuroprotection and I even designed a few experiments. He publicizes it, my name nowhere to be found not even in acknowledgments and I go to a small school so #1 there aren't too many lab spots available and #2 every science professor thinks I'm a f**k up because of the way my PI talks about me.

I respect Perkins and appreciate his work and effort, but I feel like it would be annoying as hell playing against him.
