Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hah tell me about it. Like how I gave up a really nice 9-5 job in a pharmaceutical company to go back to school and then apply to medical school? 😀 It's great when it goes well. Here's hoping it continues to! 👍

Dingy this is why we should've totally gone to the same med school. I'm stupid enough to take big risks and you've got good direction and advise. Together; we'd be unstoppable *mwahahaha*

dude, its not too late, we can still do couples matching for residency

well looks are all relative, if ur going after a girl who looks much better than u, then u prolly something better than just a pick up line, u know, like that white coat u mentioned

Dude - always aim high 👍

he looked in late 20s....and still creepy considering most people tell me I look ~15 years old when they meet me lol

Better than the alternative of people thinking you look 35 :meanie:

BRILLIANT! 🤣

haha true..and people always follow up their initial comment with "you will love it when you are 30" ask ksmi...she has the same affliction as i
but i guess if an occasional embarrassment due to a terrible pick up line is all I have to endure...things are not so bad for Tatastrophy

referring to yourself in 3rd person? The med student fever is setting in :meanie:

 No, I'm working at a movie theater for the 5th summer in a row. Different theater this time. Taty, you can get free movies over the summer if you want.
hawt dawg!!!
btws I need your number for when I am actually in NOLA. Lets haaaaang.

and Met/Taty/folks in NOLA -- I'm headed to NOLA on June 17 for a college roommate reunion that apparently isn't starting until the 18th -- y'all interested in meeting up somewhere in the city?

That's a hardcore test mission. I read about it before and the first thing that came up in my mind was "but wait; they are all men !?"

I feel like, for psychological reasons, it'd make more sense to send couples?

Actually; that may be opening up a different can of worms so 😕

Although this isn't a NASA gig, I think it's against NASA policy to send couples on missions together. Not sure if the rest of the world employs similar policy.

Sure. I'll have a much better grasp of the actual city by the time you show up. Plus my apt is in an amazing location.

That sounds good. Just keep me updated.

i know china doesnt allow their astronauts to have relationships, period.

Thanks for everybody helping me out with the TV thing. One question...

Is there a huge difference between 60Hz and 120Hz? If I were to buy a 120Hz it would end up costing me at least $200 more. I've never had a 120Hz, but I find my TVs look just fine.

Day three, done!

Holy wow I'm exhausted.

And I bought my dissector and started looking at what I need to go over before Monday.... :scared:

Hardcore. China doesn't fool around with those kind of professions, right?

lol yea, something like that. it's prolly just overpopulation so they can force stricter requirements or something.

well 120 should result in less flicker, theoretically at least. but like most of the newish stuff(e.g. blu ray) most ppl can't actually tell the difference and even ppl with more discerning eyes can't tell the diff unless the screen is gigantic.

Do you have to purchase those things by yourself? I thought they'd provide it to you and just take it out of the tuition.

i had a very productive dream yesterday, somewhere during the dream i got into ucsf and i dont remember if it was before or after that me sammy floatie dingy and someone else here who i dont remember were having dinner and i think we were either roommates or traveled somewhere not sure but it was definitely interesting 😀

It's a book. Though I think I also have to buy a dissecting kit. I guess that's the downfall to only having 20K tuition lol.

Oh and I met that kid you told me about. He seems nice. He's a really good bowler.

if you watch a lot of HD sports or blu rays it's supposed to make a difference... but it's minuscule. If the 200$ is more than 15% of the TV's cost... it ain't worth it.

oh and apparently it was so easy to fly that the little airplane or helicopter or watever it was could make grocery stops

Wow...the possibility of that happening might actually be higher than you think....😉

I wanted to crank call Sammi when I got her number... but apparently I'm too much of a nice guy to do something like that 🙁 But for Met, I'd have no problems crank calling :meanie:

possible mutual fund possibility for med students coming up?

Vanguard said it will add a fund to its 11-fund target-date lineup in the third quarter of this year. Vanguard Target Retirement 2055 will be aimed at 18-22 year olds who hope to retire 45 years from now.

And I'm sure they'll charge 0.7-0.8% 🙄
