yes, in my experience. I tended bar for a couple years and did pretty well, maybe 2-300 a shift, my female friend was at the same bar and would probably average 100 more per shift, but sometimes guys would throw down ridiculous tips, like multiple c-notes at a time!
 
Work schedule for this week just came out, so now I have to scramble to find at least 8 extra hours.

However, if things stay the same, I only have 7 days left of work over the course of 15 calendar days. I would like to work 2 more days for extra money or pull some doubles.

I'm extremely excited about the World Cup Final - it's should be a great game. Even though the final score will probably be 1-0. 👎

I'm just happy that there will be a new champion.

1-0 can be pretty damn good, like today's game! germany just isn't that great if they don't score the first goal, they're pretty crappy passers, especially when compared to the spaniards.
 
Btw, I finally took the plunge yesterday and bought those DDM HIDs. Can't wait to install them! 👍

True - and it's awesome! I'm counting down the days until I can leave that crappy place forever. If I'm going to be taking crap from people, I at least want to deal with it as an MD.
 
I think I found someone to write my lab orders. My sister's friend's dad 🙂laugh🙂 is a pediatrician in my hometown and has agreed to do all the stuff for me if I show up tomorrow morning before work. Phew. Now I'll just have to feel weird for a little while since I'll probably be the only patient there over like 10 years old. 😎

Ahhh after doing some research... finally I think I'm settling on a TV + Sound system combo. Sound system's a bit pricier than I'd like - I was looking to get a sound bar; but any sound bar worth half it's weight was $250ish. Might as well jump up and get a really nice set for $50 more :meanie:. Can't seem to find great deals on Plasma's these days (and hell, plasma at it's normal price beats an LCD pricepoint anyday). <3 plasma tech anyway.

50" Plasma TV + 5.1 surround sound system. Mmmmm - tastey. Pretty good prices on both too. The only problem is (and I never thought I'd say it) - I'm worried it might be a tad too big for my room 🙁 I never thought I'd say that's the problem over the price point / functionality / awesome size :laugh:

Eh; for this price - I'll make it work 👍 [I can actually get the price on that TV lowered by another $100 too 😀].

So I have a question....is it impractical to pay off a loan with another loan? It looks like I'll need to get some money to support myself until my school disburses my loan.

I'm kinda regretting a lot of decisions now....

It's practical if the second loan has a lower rate than the original one.

And also if there's no pre-payment penalty. Short term / private loans (which are the type I'm assuming you'll need to use to bridge your time from now till school) usually tend to have pre-payment penalties unless they come from bigger companies like Citibank. But even then - the reason for the loan matters. Like for school etc. it'll be fine. But if it's for "personal reasons", the loan is (a) harder to get and (b) has more fine print 🙁

The problem w/ me is I'm used to having a good amount of space (even in my room). Now, I'm going to like an actual student sized apartment... and I've forgotten how my usual furniture is waaaay out of proportion for the room 🙁

I can't get myself a queen bed for instance - I've got to get a full/double! BLASPHEMY! 😛

I know what you mean. When I have to move for med school, I'll be in from a shock. I went from my small room in my parent's house, to the master bedroom of my parent's "second"-house (can't sell it in this market), then I'll have to go to like a small studio apartment lol. Medium -> HUGE -> small. lol.
 
Turning off my brain so I can go to sleep is so difficult these days. Ugh.

Right now it's doing 3D renderings of my room to fit all the various furniture :bang: People usually tell me I need an off switch; right now - it would be great if I actually had one 🤣
 
I hope that most of my problems are solved tomorrow after seeing that doctor. I've been stressing too much about this medical records stuff.

Too bad I'm missing out on an opportunity to sleep late tomorrow. I guess that won't ever happen again... 🙁

The part I'm worried about the most is having everything and sending it on time, but having them screw it up and not register it as being received on time. I could totally see that happening. I might try and go drop the forms off myself if possible.

You should go with Panasonic if you're going Plasma. The general consensus on all the TV forums is that they are the best by far.

anyhow, I got an onkyo system too, those things are beastly :meanie: as for the TV, i've gone to the store and looked a few times, honestly I can't tell the difference between just about any of them, so i might just go with an el-cheapo one 😀

You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to TVs. It's really hard to tell in a store unless you actively mess with the settings/calibrate them. If you are looking at LCD, check out Samsung, Sony, and Vizio. If you're looking at Plasma, there's really no reason not to get a Panasonic.

If it makes you feel better I have a 27" inch non-HD TV:laugh:. I use it so little that I can't rationalize upgrading it.
 
I guess this could all be a ruse with LeBron leaking that he's going to the Heat and then having a "change of heart" at 9pm when he announces he's staying

Either way, he's annoying as hell

Panas are awesome - but so is the price 🙁 Plasma tech's so "old" now that it's normalized much more than other techs. There's a definite difference in quality - but it's extremely minuscule and i'm not enough of a videophile to care :meanie:
