1. when i go slow, i'm only able to finish 6 out of 7 with a few minutes left, so I guess on the last passage.
2. when I got fast, I misread questions and don't quit understand what they're looking for b/c the answer choices sound so close together.
3. I sometiems think too hard and get frustrated to where I want to kill VR.

Try timing yourself on the passage alone. I think you'll find that you are reading the passage quickly enough, but you're dawdling on the questions. You need to read the passage, then quickly, but accurately read the question. Going back to the passage is a waste of time 90% of the time.

Focus on just answering the questions with your gut instinct and not dwelling on them. It brought my scores up quite a bit.

CS's suggestion is good too.

i tried that. but on VR, i do well on social science and natural science passages. It's the humanities that is killing me.

on another note...i watch FoxNews thsi morning and they said that the FDA is considering removing acetaminophen from OTC drugs like Tylenol, Excedrin, and stuff b/c of increasing liver disease. I live off of acetaminophen. stupid people who took excess of these ruined it for everyone.

I've always gone for ibuprofen, because of the liver risk. I would rather have ulcers than liver disease. Just my opinion though.

You guys should be aware that it's not any one particular mod who's getting fed up with the direction this thread has been going. All of us together have decided that this is simply not an appropriate place for that type of posting to go on.

We don't want to be heavy-handed and we don't have any fun giving out warnings. We want to allow social threads to continue going on to curb some of the neuroticism around here. However, we ALSO want to make sure that this thread is a place that people can check in public without accidentally pulling up near-porn.
