I just don't understand why people are just so hardcore about each new one coming out every year. It seems like the gameplay doesn't change that much, except for little improvements, and the only thing really new about it are the rosters and whatever graphical improvements have been made in the gaming industry in the past year (but all new games have that).

So you really care enough about new rosters to drop $60 on the same football game every year? That's like buying the new model of the same car every year it comes out (but a lot cheaper). How much is really different about it? Wait 2 years, unless you have cash to burn.
But then again, you applied to 30-something schools, maybe you do. :laugh:

EXACTLY. I get on my brother about this all the time. I can understand getting it every other year....but it's still a football game. If you want a new person, why not create a custom character? I'm probably biased though. 😀

I haven't picked-up madden for about 3 years now and I've read about some major changes. Just since last year they've made it more difficult to run, harder to intercept, and a number of other changes that people have been waiting for. They also smooth out some of the issues they have had with new changes from the previous years. Then you have better graphics and new rosters (which are both important to gamers), not to mention online game play. You'll be left behind with no good players if you don't update.

It's not that I'm not a Madden fan, I just like college football a lot better than NFL in general. Do I watch the NFL? - of course. Would I rather watch college football? - yes.

I never understood the buy sports games every year either. I'm pretty sure I have madden for the dreamcast still lying around I can be content with that.

Nah, that would be NFL 2Ksomething. That was a sweet game back in the day, but you had to anticipate your opponents moves and act about a second or two early, because the online was dial-up.

I find that to be a serious problem with online things. You can type something and think it as sarcasm, but most people see it as what it says, because it's just text. Now if there was a way to make sarcasm visible on the internet... :idea:

They don't really have sarcasm in Japan, so if you use it they take everything you say literally. ha ha. It's hilarious. That is of course, unless they spent some time in the US.

Sarcasm is a beautiful thing and those that don't understand it are missing out. I would say 80% of my humor is based on dry sarcasm, so I think some people online find me offensive, but I'm just messing with them... In real life I would have an ear to ear smile and they would know I was kidding, but online... I don't really care... ha ha. :shrug:

At work, most people can never tell if I'm being serious or not. The worst thing is, most of the time I am, so it can get kind of confusing and lead to things not being done.

I stand corrected, I have NFL 2K. Still a sweet game though.

I never played online though, since internet was so slow back in the day.

That ruins the while point of sarcasm. Sarcasm isn't funny if you say it's sarcasm.

Generally, if I don't think my sarcasm is obvious, I put one of these dudes after whatever I say "🙄"

My mom gets pissed at me because I'm really sarcastic at times, but I've learned to curb it on the net because I've had many confrontations with friends and between other friends regarding mis-communication and sarcasm on the net.

Nah, I just switch to vulgarity, that translates well and the Japanese seem to love it... Plus Japanese women (at least in Japan) seem to really like tall American guys, so I'm sure I could manage in Japan. 😉

If it's the same thing that happened here, the strong rain and thunder will be over in about 20 minutes, then there'll just be light rain for an hour after that.

It has stopped raining here, but it's really dark and it looks like it'll start storming again. 🙁
