just booked another flight. ugh. so much money.

on another note, how do people feel about facial hair in the interview? (i may ask this multiple times during the next month, dont hate me for double posting)

i keep my facial hair really low, and shape it up/shave my neck and chin...but i REALLY hate myself clean shaven. it makes me look 3/4 years younger and its just gross to me. anyone know how it would come across?

i feel the same way. i have pretty clean/good short facial hair. i usually shave a day or two before an interview (for jobs), will do the same for med school interviews.

i dont think its a big deal as long as its clean. some people can't pull it off tho

At least keep the facial hair to a minimum. But I would go clean-shaven myself. I have to cut my hair, which I don't like. But I'm doing it anyway.

This will probably be the shortest it's been in the last 3 years, but not as short as when I was in high school.

i cant relate to facial hair, but in general i think it's better to err on the side of being conservative. i really dont think anyone is going to be offended by my tiny nose stud, but i will probably take it out for interviews anyway.

Just added Creighton . . . anyone else applying there? now I'm at 20 schools, and I am stopping! No more. seems like a perfect round number. and I'm complete at enough schools now that I am beginning to relax. Everyone getting interviews was making me panicky, but I have to keep reminding myself that I submitted my stuff later than all of them. I am relaxing now with a 24 oz budweiser can . . . because i'm classy 😀

fail. firstly, have you ever been in a subway station when it's 95 degrees outside? because in the subway station it will be about 110. i get to work drenched in sweat every day, but freezing because the subway cars themselves are so over-air conditioned. (which i am NOT complaining about!)

secondly, i am not a dude. i don't care if there are girls in skimpy outfits.

I prefer direct flights, but I'm glad the stop is in Houston for my flight. There's a Pappadeaux in the airport...I dunno if you guys have eaten there, but it's AMAZING! :: Drool:: I'm going to spend my 3 hours in there! =]

im applying to creighton and they even gave me an interview...if that isnt a clue this school does not care about stats then idk what is lol. I think ud have a good chance there!

somehow i got tricked into paying for dinner with my ex🙁...now im even poorer..

i forgot which one had the new air conditioners (the only ones I used to ride frequently were A/C/E 4/5/6 and the N/Q/R). They AREN'T that bad, but I never had to wear suit/work clothes over the summer in the subway. but compare to other cities (which is ALL) where you have less/infrequent trains. At least you don't have to wait as much.

well as far as skimpy outfits, attractiveness of people in ny (esp manhattan) >>>> anywhere else, both men and women

but this is all by comparison. taking the subway to work/school in nyc does get depressing tho. facial expression of the everyday person is just sad.

at least you can't get bored in NY

thanks! i hope you're right. for what its worth im not applying there because i think it's safety/ easy. it appeals to my desire to live in a non-metro area, plus i have met some students from there and they all seem pretty cool. plus i like that they won some honor for being most 'wired' campus . . . that appeals to me too.

totally buying that! 😛. on a serious note, people need to ge toff their high horse and not hate so much on vick i mean its honestly pathetic that dante stallworth KILLS a man because he decided to drive while drunk and high...but no one gives a ****. Vick kills dogs and omg hes the worst human ever created...im not the biggest animal lover in the world but i tend to value human life over animals...vick lost everything he should at least get one more chance. Ray lewis too was on trial for murder or w/e...yet hes the "best" model LB in the nfl.

Just don't understand. Is possessing a gun worth 2 years in jail? I mean, what he did is definitely not as criminal as what Vick did. Not even close, IMO.

serious dude, hes doing more time the vick...in fact this is some of the most time ive ever seen in the NFL...and there have been some horrible things done by these nfl athletes...what plax did was stupid but i mean, hes doing more time the people who commit murder...maybe this is why i hated the idae of law school, this **** makes no sense lol. Its kinda his fault though too..they offered him one year...but he said no. Apparently there was a report they offered him 3 months...but he turned it down. I bet those 3 months are looking damn good now lol.

an illegal possession of handgun in NYC = 3-5 years. he got off easy. NYC changed the whole environment of the city with that law. we went from 3000 murders a year to 500.

plus, the ******* discharged that gun. in a midtown manhattan nightclub. latin quarters. i mean c'mon it cant get any safer than that place.

he was offered 3 months initially, got scared as **** of jail, denied the please by his lawyers, then the DA said he was gonna be an example, they asked for 5 years, he will probly end up 1.5 years at rikers .5 at home
 
yea i think this all looks ridiculous because of the stallworth thing. he settled a financial decision with the victim's family though.

i know the NY laws are harsh and by the law thats what they should have done per say...its just it makes no sense when you look at other cases...im not saying it was "unfair" persay as it was his fault in the end....just when thinking of recent cases such as dante, vick, little, etc etc....plax got the most punishment, when what he did was next to nothing compared to these guys

I know thats why he got off...he was probaly like heres 15 mil.....now drop the charges. Im in the wrong career path lol. Il never make enough as a doc to buy my way around the legal system 😛
 
plus, he's suspended for an entire season. Still not enough punishment for what he did. ****ing *******.

I know NYC is the handgun nazi, but I still lol@2 years for shooting himself in the leg.

Where I come from we call someone who does that a ******* and ticket them (extra for celebirty status:meanie:).
