Oy, back from Nashville. Took waay longer than I thought, but that's because I stopped at the Jack Daniel's distillery on the way back. And by "stopped", I mean drove ~60 miles each way out of the way. Ended up adding about 120ish miles and 3.5 hrs to my trip. It was worth it, though. Bought a nice rare bottle of whiskey only sold there. I'm really going to try not to drive through AL or MS for a while, I don't like those states. I've put like 1700 miles on my car the last 2 weeks. 😱

Think I left my phone charger at the hotel, though. 🙁
Didn't get to watch or listen to the game. 🙁

But LSU won!!! 😀 😀 😀
I got to watch the 4th quarter since my roommate DVRed it. And Oklahoma lost 🙂.

I had a VERY weird interview experience at Vanderbilt. I likely know how you feel.
 
What's so weird? I'm heading out there in a couple of months.
 
i had a pretty good experience, but i think me and JBA had a lot in common. people there were pretty chill. I think its very hard to gauge performance on an interview. at least so far w/o results
 
you can pm me if you have any questions too, they draw mostly from your primary app.

interviewers review + your whole app (primary 2ndary LOR) gets reviewed by 2 members of the committee for decision

like brooklyn said, it's hard to predict without results. but I know that compared to my other 4 interviews, my vanderbilt one was the weirdest. it was also my first. it was very unstructured and my interviewer hardly asked any questions...it was too conversational in my opinion. I felt very weird about it. if it turns out I get accepted then hooray but I'm totally not expecting it.
 
Hmm, yea, there are so many different types of interviews, even for the same school. This whole process can be such a crapshoot.
 
yea im not expecting it either. just by the caliber of students that they are probably looking for. i feel like everyone that interviewed is like ksmi.





if you guys did get a chance to see the class of 20xy posters up, they do seem to have a huge vandy bias. i found the girls in their classes pretty attractive too...

Eh, I don't think Boise deserves it anyway with their schedule, BUT I would like to see (via a playoff). The whole easy-schedule-to-squeeze-into-a-bowl is stupid, as is SEC-is-da-bomb-and-is-better-than-their-record-says. I don't want someone to tell me who's playing in the NC, I want the teams to battle it out to see. If it's a money thing, call the semi-final games the Orange, Sugar, Rose, and Fiesta, and the first playoff games can be other bowls for all I care. Bottom line: I want to be making brackets for college fb.

For a relationship yes, intelligence isn't just a preference, it's a necessity. But I'm probably not gonna be looking for anything serious for a while so stupid girls are fine in the meantime 😀

One of my Yale interviewers asked two questions and it lasted 15 min, but it seemed like she intended to do that. I think they have a sense of what they want before you walk in. Awesome lady though.

Morehouse or Emory? And I concur, the atl is a great place.
 
And enough football talk. Everyone knows it's the second best sport to watch after basketball. Preseason has started and I'm counting down till B. Roy and my Blazers begin total domination of the western conference.


And NBA 2k10 is a great game if anyone is considering it.

Ksmi msged me on FB and asked me about some member being added to the group... I said, is she hot?... Ksmi said "oh, you don't think the girls in the group now are cute?" I said, "They're all beautiful especially you" or something to that nature... she was trying to catch me in a trap but it didnt work 😀
 
So can anyone help with some info. im a current student at St. Matthew's University. does anyone know the possibilities of transferring to a US, and if you do what are the pre reqs. and other info..... anything would be appreciated
 
What up kramer welcome to the group... um theres only a few schools that accept foreign transfers, i think maybe Drexel (solid school)
I'm sure theres plenty of posts you can find on the main page for it.

Are you going to be starting 1st year when you transfer?

Talk about a bad case of senioritis. Is everyone like me and don't want to do ANY schoolwork on Sunday today? Before this year, I would do nothing but study on Sundays, now, I'm like meh.

I've completey blown off this Friday AND Saturday, and all I can think of is NFL games today. And I have a lot of hw and midterms next week.🙁
