First of all, im not going to 'get some'. I have something else to do in philly other than just a med school interview now, and she's all about the city so I figured I'd check it out since i've never been. 'Getting some' would be like opening the box of cereal and finding a prize at the bottom. I'm not expecting it but i'm not going to complain if i get it.

My interview is on a thursday so im thinking coming wednesday to saturday? i dont want to spend too much money up there.
 
frats arent all that good for connections either, at least most arent

i like going to those for beer pong though

PS I was in a 'frat' and I'm not a tool or anything. The tools are the people that need the frat, you want to be the one that the frat needs. 🙂 I just did it to meet more people and get well connected on campus. It turned out to be pretty rewarding in the end.

Well that's good. I'm just really not a fan of the Greeks at LSU, though. Or in the "old south" in general. Sheep, I say, sheep.
 
A lot of frats and sororities in the south are really racist, usually the most famous/rich ones.

Frats at southern schools like LSU are unbelievable. They all dress the same, dip and drink incessantly for the most part. They have absolutely no idea of individuality or 'self' in general. I've gone to some conferences and these guys all just look like frat-robots
 
I REALLY don't like Reggie Bush. He's never really done anything of worth when it counts and he screws up too much. Never have. He's the biggest waste of money since Ricky Williams.

Agreed. Our premed club officers are all Greek, so natrually why would I even bother to run? Popularity contest... the club's pretty lame anyway.

Disagree. The secret is joining the fraternity with the highest GPA like I did... My 3 closest friends: Marketing Manager for Microsoft, Financial Advisor for Tishman hotels (looking to buy his first hotel in 2010), and a local sports TV broadcaster. Some of my other 'bros' are in med/law school or in the high ranks of the military. And we didn't suck as a fraternity either! (believe it or not)

I'm not gonna lie. The look me, you, and the other guy at LSU-NO gave each other when one of our favorite Greek pre-meds walked in was priceless.

Well I will admit, the frat that I hung around was basically on double secret probation for drug and alcohol violations.:laugh: Also, lowest GPA on campus. So, I guess that may depend.

I maintain the whole alumni network thing is basically BS.
 
So, any of your corndog-smelling coonasses up for a sig bet? If LSU loses next week then you have to put up a sig designated by me until they win their next game. Similarly for me if UF loses.

I'll think about it during the beginning of the week. Yall's team is really good, I'm not completely sure of our chances even if Tebow doesn't play.

That adderall thread is so ridiculous. 5 pages? It's all just people who use it defending themselves, and people who don't calling them out.
 
Well, from what I hear, Tebow is probably not gonna play, so that kinda evens the odds quite a bit. If Brantley's first start is gonna be a night game at Death Valley, I'll be worried :/

Well I guess that's how it should be. One question I wish I would've been asked at interviews is "What is one major problem in health care today?"

My answer: Overmedication - antibiotics and adderall-type stuff (academic steroids used by non-ADD people)
 
Eric Mangini must really be sitting on a smoking hot seat now. Poor guy.
