Yeah... at my hospital we get 2.5x normal pay when we work holidays. We get a day of pay even if we don't come in (add on top 1.5x if we do work).

But I didn't know it was a holiday, so that was why I was surprised.
it's not a holiday at my hospital 🙁 it's sad. then again, there have still been issues with my benefit hours since i transfered, so it doesn't matter much anyway...eh.

Yeah that guy was pretty cool. If you look in the WF thread, I believe he got WLed. I have his email though so I'm gonna shoot him a message later in the cycle and see how it's going for him.

I like your line of thinking. I'm planning something similar now that I'm not going to travel so much. First to a 315 bench wins? (Unless you're already there, then you win. 👍)

Hmm, I don't often do pure biceps exercises, but I may already have ya beat there. How about first to 225 bent over barbell rows? No triceps in that, but it's still a nice multiple-muscle compound exercise.

i'll do that too. its a great excercise. tough to solidify a form too. the row is pretty tough for me since i tore my rotator cuff and then broke my hand (tougher than the flat bb BP) but def one of my favorite exercises

OK, cool. You're probably gonna win, are you sure you can't hit 315 right now? I'm at 260 like 3 times, but I'm not a reps guy. If I dropped down to 245 or 250 I can still only get like 3-5 reps.

Yeah it's a beast of an exercise, and I see almost no one at the gym actually do it.

so when you do barbell curls, you are supposed to have your feet apart and keep the momentum from coming into play. but then there are these fugazis that start swinging their entire body from the back up to leverage the weight, thus the humping motion

That's completely understandable. You don't have to worry about it though, I was just curious. I feel that going through that will seem stalkerish. 🙂
 
Speaking of, All you awesomely in shape people! I want to start lifting weights and getting into shape. (I know, sounds like everyone right?) Do you guys and gals have any sites or resources that you particularly like that I can use to jumpstart my routine?

I have zero clue about weightlifting and the fact that the weight room in our gym is filled with gross sweaty guys kinda deters me from going in there (mostly because I have no idea what to do and I'm sure I'd look stupid in front of all the 'pros').
 
Ah yes... I love the humping motion. See it all the time. I used to be one of those in high school until I got it straightened out.

Edit: That sounds entirely not right. I'm talking about the lifting... haha

dont worry about it, you should just go to the weight room and start doing whatever. as long as you arent obnoxious (and you'll see who is), no one will notice you.

i think squats are the way to go for women (and men, its def the best exercise, along with deadlifts)

Yeah, I usually stick to machines for cardio, but I want to get into weight lifting because I know building a little muscle helps burn calories and you look good too! 🙄

mock me if you will....I used to have pain in the lower back when I watched the longer surgeries (3-5 hrs)
Since I started seriously working on my back (its been a while now) I'm def much more comfortable.

I mean, I guess having pain in your back standing in the same spot for hours has implications down the road too.
