it's in celebration of Mardi Gras... and I got tired of the old one. Now that I'm wearing a mask, no one will be able to recognize me, not that anyone on here really knows me anyway (or maybe a few people, but not that many)

what audiobooks have you been listening to? and why are they so ruin-y?
 
right now im listening to 'the world without us' which is pretty cool. grim but cool.
also a whole ton of investing/finance books for my own learnings.

our library for some reason or another didnt advertise this whole audiobook download center and so ive been having a blast getting anything i want without even going outside haha.

next up, some malcolm gladwell books



ya true about the whole mask thing. people on sdn are just flat out too paranoid. i dont care if someone recognizes me. someday im gona be famous, 😉

I know! I really don't care if ppl on SDN know what I look like. It's not like someone will stalk me and track me down just because they've seen my picture. Besides, having my real picture leads to some very amusing comments on my MdApps... lol

I think this is the best Friday the 13th I've had in quite awhile. I got A's on two tests and my scholarships. The two previous Friday the 13th's I got dumped, but no bf this year, so that can't happen this time.

and congrats on the scholarshiptizzles and tests. i'm currently doing ANYTHING to prevent myself from doing verbal passages. so im reading the 'question types and strategies' chapter pretending this is going to help me out.

i love horror films and so i should go see the remake of fri the 13th but there is nobody to go with me 🙁
 
i almost went to see that tonight!! but i figured it would be suuuuper crowded so might as well make this a stay in night. Im sure ill still be scared when i see it, even if its friday the 20th 🙂
 
yeah saw 5 was awesome opening night but i remember it being exhausting to deal with the crowds and multiple showtimes lol. i guess ive hit my peak at 23 years old for having crazy friday nights.
 
haha yep big ol 23...i remember when i was that age...now its all about the cane and depends

its weird....i enjoy scaring myself. I know ill leave the movie freaked out and paranoid, but i still go..i dont know lol
 
i was thinking of not going to see friday the 13th and watching the descent instead. this is perhaps one of the best* british horror flicks of all time. i love that its only got 5 on screen characters basically lol.
 
oo thats good? i have a copy of it from a friend and havent watched it..ive heard its super scary. Maybe i should watch that too!
 
oh def, it is not for the faint of heart. i remember this movie in particular scared me, and ive seen everything.

i liked it, and think its really cool to be honest. very claustrophobic!
 
in recent news, my iphone is now past 200 bucks on ebay and two days to go. im super excited to make my money back lol. that thing was just toooo expensive/month.

also...on the mdapp...how do we make the schools we want to apply to appear on out profile? also, how we we make this SDN profile and out quotes appear? I feel like i don't know anything here. you guys make me look like a noob with all your quotes, decorated profiles, etc. 🙂
 
i usually just pick a date for the primary submitted, it shows up only after youve put in some date or a comment in the box.

as for quotes, you learn with time. also on the bottom left corner is a box called posting rules which has BB Code and smilies and other trix to learn.

speaking of parade...I was asked to ride on a float for the Houston Rodeo parade. Rodeo scholars have their own float. Here in Houston the Rodeo is a big thing every year which attracts more than 1.2 million people/year. Well, I really really really love to ride on one and get free food etc. BUT it's on a saturday and that is when my MCAT prep course is. 🙁

Screw the MCAT!!! Parades are so awesome... wait, would you throw beads? Or just wave? Because parades without beads are so lame!!! Sorry, Louisiana bias...

my theory: this turkey knows where its going. hes just trying to end it with a touch of class. if only they made monacles for turkeys things would be different.

good morning guys! hope everyone had a fabulous evening! So has anyone ever fondued with meat? me and the bf did that last night and it was soo yummy. Ive never tried it. You get like raw cubed meat seafood and stick it in oil and it cooks...then you make sauces and dip. I highly recommend it lol

how was everyone elses evening?

I love fondue! Every year on Christmas Eve, my family does fondue. Apparently, when my brother and I were young, it was the only way my mom could get us to eat. I have to say it's my favorite family tradition. We recently started doing cheese fondue and bread along with the meat. It's just so good!

My evening was boring! My roommate had to study for the GRE. Nothing was on the tv. So I went to bed at about 10:30. I was exhausted!!!
 
i just got started on my bio homework for our first class and i didnt realize how much reading there was! class is on tuesday but i think i have to read about 100 pages worth of dense biochemistry notes. ugh
