ksmi, Spring does exist in Louisiana, it just lasts for about 2 days. On the good side though, the weather was just right for my herpetology class field trip this weekend - we caught 28 species of reptiles and amphibians! woot.

venomous, yes.
But a very large part of the class is identifying species, so we can tell them apart from the regular ones - caught some cottonmouths (crazy, one just swam right next to me while I was in a creek) and copperheads actually. It's a great class.

I find it hilarious that everyone is all complainy about the weather being hot wherever they may be. You all have no idea.

youre supposed to be dressed in formal attire, to me at least what you are describing doesnt sound like it. I know its harder for women then men to find something to wear as all we have to do is go buy a decent black suit and tie and we are set. But you dont wanna roll in there like you just woke up and came from class or something😉. I agree with the modeling idea from lukkie😛

Also blue..since we are both in the same area basically (i think) where are you getting your suit...im seriously so fail I have no idea where to buy one or anything lol. My friend was saying there was some place called like 2 day suits or something that has good deals but they are only open 2 days a week? I dont know...I just dont wanna blow a ton of money on a suit that I will wear to interviews then basically trash...

Agreed! I would not wear short sleeves. However, you don't have to wear a black suit. Gray and the like are okay!

Yeah, man. I'm so not looking forward to suit shopping again... I'm going to see if I can use one of my old ones. I'll bounce the idea off of some lady friends.

I agree. You can definitely wear them. I don't think it's new per se, but black suits really put a lot of emphasis on the tie. So you need to have something bold enough to make you stand out, but not outlandish enough to make you look like a clown. 😉
 
Mine's charcoal gray. What I like about it is that the pants are really narrow at the ankles. It makes me look taller.
Also got brand new shoes, with two inch insoles. Probably gonna change into something more comfy during tours.

Nice.👍 My suit is also charcoal, but I've noticed a lot more color/pattern variation in female interviewees than male.

What do you think about all-black suit, with black ties and everything? I was thinking about that but my mom vehemently said no.

The medical establishment tends to lean toward the more conservative side of fashion. You don't want to stand out for something the adcom will perceive as a negative.👍
