It's insurance so a million and a half pre-meds don't try to log in all at once and crash their server. It also works well if they should just happen to be running a little late.

I'm not buying what you're selling on this one.

They're going to create more of a problem by all those said pre-meds continuously logging in to see if it's up or not.


I could see the slightly late possibility though.

Ugh... I hate going to the Student Health Center. So, my appt. was at 1:40 and I was out the door by 1:54. I love the quickness, but really, do we not have the time to even care what's wrong? I went to the same doctor two weeks ago, and the same thing happened. Last time, I didn't feel as bad, but it was enough to make me go, which does generally take a lot. Now, my throat is killing me, my whole body is achy, and I have a fever. What does he do? Prescribe the same antibiotics I got two weeks ago. Sure, maybe it's another illness, but still. Antibiotics aren't gonna fix everything. The nurse was all like, I think he'll swab you for strept throat... but no. How hard is that? I'll pay for it, I don't care, but throwing more antibiotics at the problem isn't going to fix it if you don't know what the problem is. A throat swab is easy, I've done one on myself before. I'll do it again if you don't want to. Just give me the stuff to do it. URGH!!! I wasn't running a fever this morning and now I am. It's obviously not getting any better. Now, I don't think it's anything that serious, but still, if I'm back again, doesn't that mean it didn't really fix the problem? Also, I tried to go to my family doctor, but he wasn't in today, and yesterday they told me that if I could get there by 10:30, they could see me, but that was at 10:15, and I was a good 10 minute walk from my car plus another 15-20 minutes for the drive.

And I was supposed to go on a date with this guy tomorrow. But no, I'm sickly, so that plan is ruined. And dude is moving home to Tennessee a week from today. Screw this. The world hates me. :cry:

About your cold, that does suck. In addition to that, your doctor sucks. If you have a viral infection, which you probably do, then the antibiotics he prescribed will do nothing for you, but exacerbate an antibiotic problem we have in society as it is.

Also, as an aside, whenever I get a fever I force feed myself fluids and electrolytes (gatorade does the trick) and wrap-up in a blanket to allow my body to heat up without expending as much energy. This is a major phase in your body fighting off the infection, so think about it this way, you're on the last stretch! Maybe you're fever will break sometime tomorrow then your Tennessee strange can meet up with you for a little tlc. ha ha.

It sucks that it's around finals though... 🙁

Dude, I hear you on this one. I told one of my writers that my letter was due Jan 15th and when I received no letter I emailed him and stopped by his office again so that he could tell me, "Oh yeah, what were we writing again? When is it due?" :laugh:

He's a cool guy, just really busy and somewhat of a space cadet.

Yeah, I just met this guy last Thursday, so it's not like it could have happened any sooner. Whatever, maybe next year, but I doubt that. 🙁
 
totally ready for the weekend
but i have a CS final to complete
and study for biochem final on monday
 
ok i survived my 8 hour shift in the pediatric ER today. it was insane! after awhile, they have to set up a triage tent outside and people have to wear diff color armbands. Influenza A positive patients cannot come into the main ED. everyone used gowns and masks like crazy. hope this swine flu die down or students like me can't shadow in the ER anymore. 🙁

p.s. have anyone wore masks that look like a duck's bill? i wore one today and it ain't pretty.

He's not graduating? If not a summer isn't that long. Don't wait for this guy, but if it works out next year great, if not at least you didn't waste time waiting. 🙂

I don't plan on waiting around, there's no point in waiting if it's not guaranteed to work out. And no, not graduating... he's a freshman.

Normally I date guys a few years older than me, but yeah. I mean, I'm supposed to be a sophomore right now, so he's only a year younger than me. But yeah, he's still 18. It's weird.
