I'm really just basing my schools off of location. I have multiple reasons to try to stay in the Midwest, and just adding those two easty schools because they have labs I really want to work in.

ksmi- I would suggest the god-school that is mayo, or other things, but I don't think you'd make it alive in MN or IL. You southerners will freeze your toes.
- also, I don't think orgy was what Blue was referring too..... 😛

-i don't do hourly rates. sorry boys.

-also, prolly no tulane for me. i'd melt.

You should add CO to your list. They have an awesome MD/PhD program. Plus we have gorgeous weather.

i'm meeting with my premed committee tomorrow. hope they gave me a good review to put on top of all the rec letters. (nervousness here) 😳
 
if you don't want mayo, I could do U of Minnesota as well. Not as well know that it's actually a great school. Good people, good research, etc etc. This may be influenced by my Minnesota pride. For example:

Cold Weather behavior:

60 above zero: Floridians turn on the heat. Minnesotans plant gardens.

50 above zero: Californians shiver uncontrollably. People are sunbathing in Duluth.

40 above zero: Import cars won't start. Minnesotans drive with the sunroof open.

32 above zero: Distilled water freezes. The water in Bemidji gets thicker.

20 above zero: New Mexicans don long johns, parkas and wool hats & mittens. Minnesotans throw on a flannel shirt.

15 above zero: New York landlords finally turn on the heat. People in Minnesota have one last cookout before it gets cold.

Zero: People in Miami all die. Minnesotans close the windows.

10 below zero: Californians fly away to Mexico. Minnesotans dig their winter coats out of storage.

25 below zero: Hollywood disintegrates. Girl Scouts in Minnesota still selling cookies door to door.

40 below zero: Washington, D.C. finally runs out of hot air. People in Minnesota let their dogs sleep indoors.
 
speaking of Colorado.

i was just talking about going to colorado for summer but my mom said there's nothing there in the summer. she wants the fam to go to San Fran instead. :scared:

I might be a little behind on this, but I met Emma Watson (Hermione) in real life, when I went to London a couple of years back. We were at a Shakespeare play in Hyde Park, she was pretty cool.
Hopefully I get to leave Louisiana and go someplace where I don't immediately condense the air when I step outside for 9 months out of the year. The humidity=death.
Oh yeah, BTW, LSU will win the National Championship this year as long as we can get to the SEC Championship Game with only 1 loss. The drubbing of GT was a prequel to this season, it was so great to see it in person.

You were at the game, too?? 👍 Here's to a great football season. So question, do you think it'd be worth it to quit band this year to be a normal student?? I've been back and forth on this for awhile now.

Now although I was never in the band, I had a bunch of friends and roommates in it, so I think you should enjoy your senior year and not do band this season. Do the student section! It's the best time ever, and you could just get an on-campus job and have a lot more free time. Band is one of those things that (at least to me) if you're thinking about not doing, than don't do it.

Well, yeah. But I thought about now doing it last year and had fun this year. And I would be one of 9 returning girls this coming year. 20 new kids. I love it, I really do. And I think I'd miss it a lot, since it's not a I'm over it thing. It's more of a time thing. Like how would interviews work? Sigh. I think I'm gonna see how the summer goes. I can always pull the "I'm applying to med school, and I didn't realize it would conflict so much" card. But then again, I'll need to do that before ticket-buying time. I am not quitting and missing the games.

Anybody else a fan? The "roommate switch" episode is on right now, one of my favorites. To this day, nobody has successfully pulled it off.
