this logic makes no sense to me. humidity makes it seem warmer. trust me, i'm from south florida and i've spent a bunch of time out west... 110F with 0% humidity feels cooler than 90F with 100% humidity.

I'm pretty sure 126F is always warmer. :d

While that's true for a hot weather situation, on the cooler end of things, the presence of moisture makes things feel colder.🙂

Hmm, I'm always seen it as, when it's humid it's gonna feel more extreme, since the moisture in the air will be whatever temperature it is.

It all depends on the overall temp. If it's colder out with a higher humidity it is more like being immersed in the cold (think of jumping into a 60 degree pool versus being exposed to 60 degree dry air). It is that bone chilling New York style cold with low temps and lots of humidity.

Although, I do agree that 60 degrees isn't cold, I guess for some of the weak it is... :meanie:

Sense, Ksmi makes none.

i know it is warmer; that's why i used the word feels. dry heat >> moist heat any day.

i also don't think that's true for cold... in the winters in new england, when it's wet/snowing/sleeting/whatever, i think it feels warmer (albeit grosser) than it does when it's just dry, cold, and windy.

Yeah, I figured the humidity would play a role. You should be thankful, now you have a decreased likelihood of contracting Dengue or Malaria today!

That's good. But really, the mosquitoes haven't been out much this year, which is nice. It's only a matter of time, though. I think it's so crazy when people freak about a mosquito bite because of West Nile and stuff. Like if I go outside on a muggy night for like an hour, I'm bound to get bitten at least 5 times, and I've never gotten West Nile. I just really hate using bug spray. It smells so bad and is sticky.

I know what you mean, I just think your pre-edit example of 126F would still feel warmer. :d

hence the edit 😉

while 126F might feel warmer, for me it would be more bearable than the 90F. i HATE being hot, so anything that keeps me more comfortable (like dry heat instead of moist) is a plus.

By default, it has to be warmer when it's snowing.

It's the freeze after the snow you should be worried about. 😉

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Are you guys talking about the weather?

I'm off to do some studying.

Princeton Review interview today. Wish me luck.

good luck! out here at least princeton takes damn near anyone whos breathing and has a heart beat. So hopefully its the same out there🙂. once they see 40 MCAT they will probably fall at your knees and bow to your greatness anyways 😉

Just got my brand new interview suit today, $665. Too expensive, but when I look at myself in a mirror, worth every damn penny.😀

Commentary on suit is useless without pics!

wow... I'm sorry that's ridiculous to spend on a suit!

I wish I had dough like that...

Mine was 450 in the form of one-time parental donation, I think. You know it's working when other interviewees keep hitting on you...

Two-piece single-breasted, dark charcoal gray, Ralph Lauren. 👍
yay for non-black suits. My suit was charcoal gray & I LoVeD it. I felt like everyone else looked like they were at a funeral.

👍 I've become somewhat obsessed with suits over the past couple of years. There's this herringbone three piece at Bloomingdales I've been eyeing for a while now; I will cave at some point.

How about after you get that nice shiny MD and can afford it?

That sounds like it should be really nice.👍

It is nice.😉

Yeah, I don't really like black suits, too depressing.

. You must have a lot of dough.

I wanted to buy a Hickey Freeman suit but I was out of $.

BTW, this is my first business suit (never owned one before), so I thought I might as well buy a nice one.

:laugh::laugh: yeah, that may set you back a couple of bucks.

Always, I believe that the finer quality is always worth it.👍

You have to admit, though, those are some mighty amusing ninja.

I was gonna post a picture of my suit, Myuu, like you wanted.

But since you took away the opportunity, I can't.
