Not me... 🙁 I'm not submitting until ~July 20th... because of my MCAT. I'll have all of my stuff ready, but won't be able to really work on perfecting my app until I've finished my exam.

But on a positive note, at least I'll be able to do all my secondaries before AMCAS verifies me. So I can have those back to schools on the same day or by the next day.

Still bummed that I'm submitting a little on the later side though...

Yeah, I don't think I'll be that bad off. I should be submitted and have all my secondaries done by mid August. At least for my state school (really the only place that I definitely want to go) they don't care, because that's when they send out their first batch of secondaries anyway.

I don't know if I'm the only one not really sweating this section. I have been planning on cutting and pasting it directly from my CV. It pretty much sums up all of what I've done/contributed.

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking as well. I'm trying to imagine what I would want to see if I were the one reading it, and formatting only plays a role as to the ease at which I would be able to scan/read the info. That's just my take though.

Yeah, I agree with this. You're also writing 2 other essays for the MD/PhD, so I'm thinking you'll be fine. It's a limit, not a minimum.

I won't send them, but I'll write them. People post the prompts and I'll use those to write my essays before my app processes, assuming all the schools I'm applying to will send me secondaries. Then I'll fill them all out, cut and past my essays and voila.

So, theoretically, I could be complete at all my schools by the end of August.

You still need them to ask you to submit it. The secondaries usually aren't just essays. There is other stuff to fill out too.

I was at like 5100 and I reread and needed more transition-y parts. The extra characters helped me there. I'm glad I didn't add more stuff in and then have to find it and take it back out.

Yeah, I've thought about it, but it will detract me from studying for my MCAT and I want to make sure I focus on that for the time being. It won't matter until my score comes out anyway, so I figure that gives AMCAS about a month to verify me after I take the MCAT. That should be plenty of time.

Not to mention funding. I'll be in a better financial situation in mid-July than I am now.

Well when it said that the app would be available "on or around May 5", it actually opened around 10 AM. So I'm thinking around then.
