Is it just me, or do we SDNers sometimes assume masculinity unless the poster has a feminine avatar or makes a feminine post? I've seen this whole "you're a chick!" thing happen quite a bit.

Except in Witness' case. Everyone thinks he's a girl. ha ha. Poor guy.

I do this.

I think a lot of working, intelligent woman fall into that trap... Never finding a guy who is on their exact level. It seems most dudes don't like having their mate on their level and would prefer their mate to be less intelligent.

Screw that. I don't want to date a guy who thinks he is smarter than me. That's the problem. I don't like being talked down to especially by a guy who I know I'm smarter than. It's not like the guy has to be a super genius, but he needs to be able to hold an intellectually stimulating conversation with me.

They are so draining and I spend half of my time wondering to myself if they are really that stupid or if it's an act they put on because they feel society approves of clueless women and frowns upon women who actually have something smart to say... I'm actually happy that the only premeds I know are acquaintances. Most of my friends are pre-vet or something else. It's just hard because no one I talk to knows what I'm going through and just tells me to shut up. Pre-vets don't have all of the options we do, so they're almost jealous, if not bitter.
