Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i don't remember, did the MCAT try to pull stupid crap with units on us where we'd have to convert? cuz if so, then memorization isn't good enough
dont remember it was all a blur to me

Ok, I'm officially taking Blue's advice. I'm out until the 17th!

Don't miss me too much!

Dude, good luck. Just hole up and study like crazy these next two weeks or so. But don't burn out. Take it easy the last couple days. I'm sure you'll do fine. Remember lots and lots of practice tests, especially AAMC ones.:luck:

good riddance dont let the door hit you on the way out

hmm, i didn't even come onto pre-allo until after the mcat. before the test, i was always on the mcat forum...

ill be trolling pre-allo when im an attending

so who's gonna assume 0c's responsibility of being the renegade for the next 2 weeks?

ill be trolling pre-allo when im an attending

That would be sad man. I plan to stop coming to pre-allo when I start MS1. And also drastically reduce the time I spend in SDN in general.

Too bad ksmi can't. Being a mod and a Life member. :meanie:

as long as we come together to troll "Class of 2015!!!!!!" for a little bit next year, i'll be happy 🙂

DAMN! didnt wake up to any new secondaries this morning.

mornin' kiddies!

y'all posted a lot last night... and i'm too lazy to read it. but 0C left until the MCAT? aw. good luck :luck:

=( anyone else here not verified?? i'm starting to feel left out...

anyone know how to find out what tickets you have on your record and accidents? Can i just like call my insurance company or something😕. Apparently the univ of cincinnatti thinks that doctors are not allowed to have traffic tickets or be in car accidents...seriously what a lame school i almost dont evn want to apply to such a ******ed school. After all i know the best doctors do not have any speeding tickets-_-.

dont feel left out, if you recently submitted it seems like it could take 4-6 weeks..🙂

if you remember getting in a ticket/in an accident you should be able to call the town hall where it happened and they should be able to tell you. if you havent been in either situation or dont remember, chances are your records clean. lol you would/should know if youre in either situation

and i didnt think i submitted that recently! last transcript was received july 17th. i submitted AMCAS july 11th
so sad...🙁

lol well...the one accident no police came...we just called the insurance companys so its not on my record? The exact question is "* Have you been convicted of or pleaded guilty or no contest to, any moving traffic violations (moving violations include speeding tickets) ?"

convicted = went to court? I dont know anything about this ****. I ran a stop sign, speed, and illegally drove in the carpool lane...should i just say that. Serious i hate this school anyone who cares about traffic tickets in medicine is just ****ing ******ed. (I cant unbold this sorry sdn wont let me, though the bold does show my hate for this school 😛)

hmm so convicted means you actually contested it and went to court and they judge said youre an idiot and charged you with whatever you did. pleaded guilty usually happens if you get a speeding ticket and then dont wanna go to court so just fill it out and send it in. if you havent done either of those, you can safely answer no. i know this because i got a 18 over in a 30, pleaded not guilty, went to court and had it reduced to a 1608 (parking on sidewalk 😛). so technically i have a record but no moving traffic violations hehe

hope that helps...it doesnt sound like you need to worry about it unless you got a speeding ticket and didnt challenge it

i guess theyre looking at how you follow the law? integrity? but i agree; thats bull that they care...anyone who tells you theyve never sped is a liar and you should challenge them to a duel

yah i guess im not even going to fill out the secondary. Any school that wont let you in for such stupid reasons is the worst med school in the country.

maybe they dont look at it negatively? just wanna see if youre honest about it. who knows wtf they want...lol

hmm. i guess just another one of many tactics to weed people out/reduce the applicant pool. they probably don't care about speeding THAT much.

anyway, it seems like the best thing to do it go to the court and track down your actual record. because the way they have it in their records might be better for you than the way you'd describe it yourself. i got an underage drinking ticket like seven years ago, and according to google that's almost always a misdemeanor. but i mentioned it to a lawyer in my chem class and he thought that in my county it might be just a municipal code violation- and i went to the court, and he was right. 👍👍👍 That was a huge deal- i could have put a misdemeanor that never happened on my app if i hadn't checked!!

why the hell are you guys up so early? Go to sleep, people.

Silly california people and their false time.

haha YES!

its 10:15 over here blue...ive been at work for 2.5 hours already. lazy p.o.s. 😀

on another note: IM SO PISSED! im spending the summer doing research at dartmouth and i made plans to go meet with a professor at my UG this weekend to get a LOR and he just emailed me and said he has an exam and doesnt know when itll end so the meeting has to be moved to next week...I HAVE WORK OVER HERE YOU INCONSIDERATE PRICK! we were supposed to have the meeting tomorrow afternoon, but thats not gonna work. and he doesnt work on fridays, so there goes that. f'in a!

thoughts??! anyone been in a similar situation!?

bust out secondaries on your iphone LOL

THEN WHAT ARE YOU POSTING ON?
i

ha, i can just picture myself lugging a desktop with a 19" widescreen monitor on the subway. and transferring trains. i fall down enough as it is.

i can picture you 😀

whats your blood type

alright, i am finishing up my AMCAS and have one question . . . i still have to take chem lab 1 and 2 (i know, i know . . . ) so i have to list them as 'future' courses. but i don't know where i'm going to take them. (I could take them at my current school, but if i can find them cheaper and closer at a community college i might do that too.) if i list them as future courses at my current school, am i locked into that, or can i change it later if i take it somewhere else?

thanks all you wise 2014ers.
