man, i can't figure out how to change the voicemail on my phone at work. the person before me left before I got here, and it's all password protected n stuff. uuuuuuuurgh. anyone know a way to get around that?

I REALLY want to go to the world cup next summer. Especially bc the US is gong to win.

No contest for me: Tour de France 2010 - any stage would be fantastic, but preferably the final day in Paris to see Lance win!

And if I could tie that in with the World Cup, I would be in heaven.

Or he could be super motivated after he fell short this year and come back with a vengeance...but he got blow away by Contador in the mountains.

i think he will end up in NYC. the talk is that Nike has a 100 million dollar incentive if he goes, plus he gets his own TV show and maybe a small percentage of network deal (which is ridic)

I sure hope you're right but it seems pretty far fetched lol. I could see them getting to the draw and doing damage though.

How euphoric would that be if they actually won the freakin' WORLD CUP?!

Every time there's a world cup, I have dreams that we win. We came so close to the semifinal in 2002 🙁

Classe list for spring came out today, and they finally have the Human Disease class I really want to take. Unfortunately, it's taught by the professor who basically showed me the door out of her lab last year. I would need to talk to her and get her permission to take it.

Suggestions, anyone?

Anyone else going to get it and play the hell out of it for the 6 months after since it'll be the last chance for YEARS?

Oof, that's tough. It couldn't hurt to at least talk with her and ask if it would be OK to take it, though, right? And it's not like it matters if you get like a C in it because she hates you, since you'll be in med school by then.

I had the same idea. Age of Empires III instead of Modern Warfare 2 though.

That's what I was thinking. I can't take it P/F, because I would need a grade in it to graduate. I just would hope she would actually let me take the class, since I won't have finished the prereqs for it, but I'll be enrolled in one at the time.

Yeah, why did they have to change stuff? I'm gonna have to take a class from 6:30-9:30 at night if I want just TTh classes. 👎
 
So do you think it would be a good or bad idea to submit my application to graduate school? Just in case my application to medical school doesn't pull through this year...

I don't think that happened either... But I read that book in a day (the day it came out), and frankly, I don't remember too much about it now.

I've read it twice. Once that day, once, more slowly, a few weeks later. And I think Blue is referring to the kids. Btw, those poor kids have the worst names imaginable. Who names their child Albus Severus Potter?

I think it's unnecessary. But all I did was look at your MDapps for like 2 minutes. I"ll leave the official decision up to the schools you submitted your application to.

Well he was drafted... he didn't sign on by choice as a free agent. And at this stage in his career it's championships or bust. He doesn't have the ability to do that right away in NY, unless they sign another superstar too.

Ahh whatever... I just hope he doesn't leave. Being a Cleveland sports fan sucks.
 
If Lebron signs with NY, I'll lose all respect for him because it means he's just about the money and publicity.

NY can't win him a ring anytime soon. He's better off in Cleveland or somewhere else. (New Orleans w/ Chris Paul.... :xf:)
 
I'm tired. Is it Saturday yet? (I didn't say Thursday because we still have to wait all day, and Friday I have an interview so that's not stress-less either, so Saturday it is.

i'm about to check out Harold's chicken while in chicago.

Pritzker = Best lunch i've had at an interview yet. The school is great too, obviously. Multiple acceptances may be a problem. I have yet to be at a school where I can't see myself going. oh boy.

fail. i've actually whipped up a spicy orange marinade, and i'm soaking some tempeh in it while sautee-ing the cabbage (which i am shredding) and some carrots (which i'm also shredding) in the remainder. hopefully 'twill be good.

dont be paranoid, but i'll probly submit apps to grad school if i dont get any good news in october. but im not really a medicine or die trying guy though.

you have really sick stats, you were complete in september, that means you will start to hear from schools in november at the earliest, so dont freak out. you'll definitely hear from them

How bizarre. My ring finger is longer than my index finger on both hands. And, I always made A's in math. Woohoo.
 
my index finger is still longer than my ring finger and im not too bad at math 🙂
