Oh wow, I can't believe the fact that Florida is down--at home!--isn't the front-page on ESPN.com.

Like I said, maybe the Horns looked a little sloppy today, but Florida is no juggernaut. Actually, I never thought I'd say it, but if they only squeeze out a win and Bama wins relatively comfortably against S. Carolina, I might have to think about joining the crowd that thinks the Crimson Tide is the best team in college football.

You mean the crowd that I am reluctantly a part of?

Of course, like I said, I would rather Alabama win the NC this year over Florida that way LSU is still tied for the lead with 2. :laugh:

Well in that case, why not root for the Longhorns so that neither team gains ground on LSU? 😀

No. Texas would have 2, just like LSU does. Plus, Texas ain't going anywhere with that team this year. I don't know where along the line, but at some point, they'll get dropped like a hot potato.

Honestly, NOBODY looks like a "great" football team this year; it's gonna be one of those years where some merely "very good" team manages to win it all.

See, I hate how NBA refs get so much flak for supposedly caving to the home crowd, but it happens in all sports.

Yeah, that shank was really bad. As much as Florida may deserve to lose, Arky doesn't deserve to win if they shank 2 field goals from 37 and 38.

I don't have a league or anything yet, just seeing if there's any interest. That draft date would be fine for me.

put me in the waitlist because i have pretty bad attention span (i would probably forget about the league after 5 days) and wouldn't get good LORs from previous league-mates. 🙂

im 100% down for NCAA bball pools tho
 
So, basically Jimmy Clausen sucks and can't score with 3 tries from the 4 yard line. I now hate Notre Dame even more for not beating USC, who I also hate.

Seems like there were a lot of "could have, should have"s in college football today

And I like Yahoo sports one.

You just don't wanna get schooled by people who actually have an idea of what's going on in the NBA 😛 You can let yours auto-draft, and I'll pick up all the sleeper studs.

I might do it if I get accepted next week, because I will feel good. Otherwise, I'm setting it to auto-draft.

OK, sounds like we have at least 4 semi-interested parties. Is a 10/27 draft OK for you guys? Say 6 PM PT? We can change stuff around if necessary.

Maybe? I'm almost certainly going to be at a post-block exam party that night, and that draft would be 8PM here. Honestly, I'd be happier with something 10/28 or later. But don't change anything until I know I'm 100% in.

This sounds like a lot of fun and I hope I can do it. But I'm going to have to think about it; I tend to get hyper-competitive and spend way more time on these kinds of things than I should, which is why I didn't play in a league last year when I was applying. I might not have that kind of time right now. I'll get back to you.
