Does anyone know if our first semester grades are considered when deciding financial aid packages that are determined in, say, February or March?

I want to know how much I need to be studying. 😛

Sammich, JJ had a non-SDN friend who was thinking of joining the league late last week before we found Caesar to fill in. PM him and see if his friend is still interested.

I don't necessarily think so for most schools. Some schools give offers of merit-aid with their offers of admission. I know UChicago does this and they obviously don't have your first semester grades when they make this decision. I don't know so much about non-rolling schools though... I suppose they could? I still don't think it's likely because as someone explained it to me, merit-scholarships are given with the intent to lure candidates away from other schools. They're given to/ candidates that schools think other schools will highly seek. But who know for sure?
 
So apparently I lied when I said I'm giving up SDN after one acceptance.

Congrats Istone13! You'll love it. 😀

When you contact them, don't play games - tell them you are canceling the interview AND withdrawing your app - don't let them set up another interview date you will end up canceling, too...

Dang, shoulda told me earlier! I canceled my SLU interview a couple days ago, and I just received an email saying they scheduled another one for me....didn't know I had to tell them I'm withdrawing the application.
