Skipping class tomorrow will be fun. It's preparation for Fridays off next semester.

I need to get to 2000 posts tomorrow or something. Then I will chill for a little while.

Have you noticed? Each class has its own unique thing. Well, actually I just know that the 2013ers have this stupid little picture with their names on it. Anyhow, what will be our legacy? What will be the tradition that we build for ourselves? I know the answer.

A Class of 2014 thread...in the lounge.

Why the lounge? How many times have you wanted to say something bat**** crazy? How many times have you wanted to say "**** you spurs you ****ing ****"(looking at you, blue) but couldn't? How many times have you wanted to say "let me have you, if only for one night, you sensitive, awesome caesar"(ksmi)? And how many times have you stopped from doing so because of the board rules?

That stops now.

Never again will we have to refrain from talking about anal; never again will we have to get warned by the diabolical killjoys whose names start with the letters M, O, and D; never again will we have to suppress our dirty and evil inner selves.

We will create a kingdom where we may roam free, and uncensored insanity will be our legacy.

Dude, I'm in the ER too... also very slow, watching some psych patients and makign sure they don't cause trouble

atleast we get computers to be on sdn haha
 
In other news, an interview slot opened up on Tuesday for Wright St. and I nabbed it... my first interview.... so very excited 🙂

Any advice for the first one?

to all of you non-college students out there-- do you ever have days where you just want to go to med school already? my current job is just SO not what i want to do with my life and i'm having a really hard time staying motivated and engaged now that i know what's coming next. everyone else here is here because this is their career, whereas i'm just stopping by. so there's this weird disconnect. anyway, i want to go to med school NOW.
 
i'm finding it exceptionally difficult to stay motivated in school too 😀

haha, that's fair... i shouldn't have specified post-college peeps. but still, it feels different at work because everything i'm doing just feels so irrelevant to my life, i guess. although i guess my doing a good job is relevant to my getting a good paycheck, so maybe i'll shut up 😀

EVERYDAY.

And then I have to remind myself to enjoy myself now... not that I'm not going to enjoy myself in school... but it just wont be the same getting to go out whenever I please and having all this free time to travel and visit old friends.

What's your job?

Can anyone talk me off the ledge here, I just wrote an email to pritzker with an application question and definitely spelled Pritzker wrong in that email at one point. P-R-I-T-Z-K-E-R, is definitely my top choice 🙁 Anyone help me out? Send an "ignore that previous email" email? (leaning towards NOT doing that...) or just let it ride and assume that it won't go in front of the adcom, lol Thanks guys! (be gentle) 😳

EDIT: for what it's worth, it was a typo, and not just realizing that I've been spelling it wrong... bah.

nah that's fair, i think part of my problem is the classes i'm taking are pretty irrelevant too. this semester is completely elective for me, since all the requirements i have left are only offered in the spring...
 
Don't worry about it. Sending a second e-mail will draw attention to the first one. Plus people tend to read things correctly. The person/people reading the e-mail may not even notice the misspelling.

One other thing...I totally spelled something wrong on one of my applications and I still got into the school. So don't stress. Plus, I definitely wouldn't want to go to a school that will reject me solely based on one typo. We're all human. 🙂

Thank god. Yeah, I don't think I'm going to send another email. I just hate on this ER keyboard there's a delay with the "t" key so everytime I type it from "muscle memory" on this computer it comes out like: "prtizker", which is just plain stupid. So that's in there twice.

Well I guess it'll make the sting of rejection less if i can convince myself that it was because of a typo and not me as a person :meanie: lol

Dude, I've love to be in your position. I love elective classes. Next semester I'm taking 2 art classes. If I didn't have 2 required courses to take next semester, I'd be taking so many more electives (next Spanish level, maybe a child psych class)

i work at a nonprofit free legal services organization. i do work with public benefits recipients. mostly medicaid, but some food stamps, welfare, social security, medicare, public housing, etc. basically i do the work of a social worker but i don't have the degree 😳

Cool...I am trying sculpture next semester....I kind of maxed out the painting/drawing resources. I think it is going to be awesome trying something (relatively) new.
As far as required classes go-I am currently taking the last two classes required for my major and the last class required for my minor. The only required class I have next semester is....wait for it.....a 1 credit hour PE course.
It is going to be a fun semester doing research, painting and working out lol
