Sammich, they've got me so addicted that I did my first multiquote post today...:scared:

So....I'm feeling very nervous about med school. I mean, I feel like I'm in no way prepared for it, thought I've taken all the prereqs with no major problems...

/random worrying

I think there's only one way to get to 1000 with dignity...

so, we're only allowed 15 people on our team right? and do I have to change stuff every day? week?

I get a knot in my stomach reading the "fire hose" info flow analogies from med students. Thank god I have an acceptance at a Pass Fail school, though.

If you really want to worry, talk to a resident about their life. I live in the same neighborhood as a bunch of residents, and I swear it is incredible how much time they spend away from the house - staggering. It freaks me out and frankly scares me, all the exhaustion and stress that they deal with...

i feel the same way sometimes. like everyone there will be way smarter than me, even if i have earned the right grades and test scores needed to get in.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that analogy is getting too..

And the only acceptance I have isn't pass/fail! :scared:

the sand just falls, and the salt makes that bouncy thing shrink (I think it's supposed to be a slug) and can also eat away at the plants a little. I like using the "cera" as a wick for fire, it burns slowly. The possibilities are endless!!

I like doing the spout then follow it up with plant and FIAH!

😆 Love it.

Oh, ok. I'll check it out later as I am at work. 😛

 Exactly.

I keep having to put it in perspective though. I mean, colleges take the top % of High school students and then med schools take the top % of that top % so, I have to remind myself that I have accomplished a lot.... not that I've forgotten it, It's just really easy not to remember how difficult something was when you're doing something even more difficult.

This is good to point out - thanks 🙂 I definitely do the same thing. I second guess myself all the time.

If you think about it, we're all pretty awesome 😛

I thought most schools were P/F? I haven't been to one that's not.

like straight pass/fail? most of mind have been "pass/fail", but when you add in honors, high pass, low pass, etc it doesn't really seem like it would be much less stressful than a, b, c, d, f. einstein was the one exception i've been to that's true p/f

I'm so bored. I'm going crazy....

My social hour is at 4:30 this week though - wooo free drinks and dinner!

I just need to survive the next 17 minutes.

👍

Don't you love how so many of the schools are *ahem* "pass/fail..."

annoying as hell.

Mayo doesn't even have an honors society. 👍👍👍

And Hopkins only grades the important (IMHO) stuff. 👍

Don't know who else is really P/F.

I've been to like 6 that are P/F. Some have honors if you have top 10% or 25% or something.

Honors/HighPass/Pass/Fail is the exact same thing as A, B... system. Just named different. That's why it's bs. Just call it what it is.

LSU actually was the only school I interviewed at that wasn't P/F. Vandy adds Honors for M2, but that doesn't really matter.

My computer is being super slow today. It worries me, because I still don't even have my music on here yet.

Baylor is definitely pass/fail preclinical. No grades except the block exams.
They do it every week - there's plenty to go around!

Just means you all should come visit me in Boston.

but... Ew, Boston.

Boston has Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Belichick, the whole Pats, Kevin Garnett. Sweet!
