on a similar note-I entered an elevator yesterday as someone else was getting off....that someone must have been munchin on some summer sausage cause the entire elevator REEKED!

If that ever happens to me again, I will move regardless of how much it disrupts the class. Last year, some huge fat sweaty guy came and sat next to me smelling like an ashtray and I just dealt with it.

Never again. That's just as bad as smoking right next to me or in the doorway when I leave the building.
 
So I am in macroecon and we are talking about how to cite in MLA. I mean, I know they are freshman, but REALLY?! Also, the prof is confused about what a "hard copy" source is... Apparently online copies of journals aren't the same as the print now? sigh.

So glad this last part is illegal in my state now. That used to drive me insane.

That's ridiculous. Doesn't your professor realize that online copies are just PDF's of the hard copy version??

I think it matters for the way you accessed it. But it is pretty ridic.

I hate it when people think that. But you can just cite it normally (if you can call MLA normal) and no one will know whether you looked at a pdf or paper version.

Yeah, on my Neuro paper I used the citation machine and didn't catch that it put a link in, and when I got the paper back the link was crossed out with the note "I don't care". Haha. I love my Neuro prof.

I never understood why professors cared whether or not you use a website to assist you to properly cite your sources. However, you do have to be careful because sometimes citation machine does mess up.

Yeah, legumes and their nitrogen fixing abilities are partially responsible for the immense agricultural system we have today. I take too many damn classes that deal with plants...

She doesn't care. I usually let Pub Med do my sources anyway, I can't remember why I didn't for this one...

Well, I just finished a 3 page paper on Yersinia pestis (plague) for my Micro class.

Now, I have to write a 10 page paper with footnotes for my Disaster Response class. I think I'm writing about the Black Death's effect on the Church and its response, but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to find on that.

Citation Machine was my best friend during undergrad. It's very accurate... never had a problem with it. I know nothing about MLA / APA, but who cares? That's why we have computers haha.

Sounds like a plan... That sucks that both parts are graded. Once again, who cares haha... Hopefully you're taking an easier load next semester.

Especially when it is wild rice soup!

Hopefully the airport food I will be eating tonight will not be too bad either 😛

It wouldn't hurt me if I got a B in that class and it was my only one this semester. My GPA would drop by .01, whoopdee fricking doo.

I would just feel like a failure since it's a freshman class and I only took it to fill Vandy prereqs. That's why I need them to accept me, or this whole class would be for nothing!

Yeah I had it just about every day over the summer between freshman and sophomore year. Got sick of it, but it's coming back into style for me. Love grilled cheese, though.

Ahhh Love the weather today. Reminds me of when I was younger and we had off for hurricanes. All gloomy and windy. I used to act like the wind was blowing me away.
 
I've been sorely disappointed this fall with my move to Houston; nothing interesting tropical at all. Not that I want another Ike or anything, but a good drenching tropical storm might be fun.
