mmmm i love this one. although i like it just as much with goat cheese, which is often cheaper. i love the spreadable kind of goat cheese. sometimes i eat that on green apples just for funsies.

another sandwich i LOVE: sauteed swiss chard with currants and ricotta on toasted 7 grain bread. mmmmm.

Some of my best childhood days were spent playing soccer or football in the torrential downpour of a tropical storm/hurricane when I had the day off from school.

It's hard to find goat cheese around here. It's illegal to sell, so they don't sell it in grocery stores. You have to go to farmer's markets where they "give it away" and have a "donation basket" to pay for it. It's a very strange law, and I don't really understand it. 😕

I thought that it was illegal for companies making video games (I'm thinking EA Sports and the like, but I would imagine it would extend to online fantasy leagues like ESPN and Yahoo) that used the actual student-athlete names; that's why you always see a bunch of fake names in NCAA video games.

Rooting for Duke is like rooting the the Yankees or the Celtics, and doing so earns an automatic shunning 😡

And oh.. I guess that makes sense.. I don't really follow NBA/NFL toooo much so I don't really participate in that sort of thing... well I guess once March Madness rolls around we can do that!

Am I foolish for not giving up hope on the schools I haven't heard from yet? I mean, I was in the set of the first people to be complete at all of them (minus UNC). 🙁

Nah. Nobody knows how this process works; there's no real discernable rhyme or reason, so no sense trying to figure it out. I bet you'll get at least one more interview.

Be happy with what you have, but hold out hope 🙂

Not foolish, but seriously, I am in the same boat, and I have quit caring about those schools. So not foolish, but maybe just a waste of time to give them much thought. I am using my time to dig deeper into learning more about my acceptance school, as well as the couple others I am waiting for a decision from.

This way, if they invite me, it will be a pleasant surprise, but I am not sure that I will even fool with any of them at this point. The money involved in traveling to these interviews sucks...I will be paying for the ones I have already done for a while, don't really want to spend any more $$$ on interviews at this juncture.
 
Anyone have any experience with boxing? I'm looking to start but trying to figure out the best way of going about it...

Of course I can! My assist situation isn't that bad, I sat out about 35 points and 20 assists(since I wasn't gonna win the points and I had assists sewned up) last week to win the turnover battle.

Besides, you and JJ are in the same division, I'm not :laugh:

I heard you can get invited all the way up til the first day of classes... so you have a while to go.

Also anyone that comes to UNC/Duke/Wake etc I can totally tell you where the awesome places here are... especially Chapel Hill!😀

ummmmmmm false. you can't interview past jan/feb at the schools ksmi is talking about.
 
Ohhh I didnt mean interview, I meant acceptances.. haha.. yeah I would imagine you cant interview til then.. Have you called the Dean of Admissions to ask? (at ksmi)

maybe this is just me, but i don't think calling the dean of admissions to say "yo, where's my interview" is a good idea at all. :shrug:
 
Well, I read somewhere on SDN (not talking about interviews ><) that you could ask what would make you a more competitive applicant/red flags etc as a subtle way of seeking to find out if you were rejected.

But yeah that would be funny.. I could totally see someone calling the Dean. Whats up Doc? Got dem interviews?
 
Is it just me or has there been a real lull of communication from medical schools lately?

Problem for me is that I was in the "first pass" so they've already passed over mine and have to go through all the late people just to get back to mine.

People are getting invites to schools after being complete for 2 weeks when I've been sitting on complete for 3 months.
 
Also nothing.

Well, one random reminder e-mail of an upcoming interview. But the interview is in January, so I'm not entirely sure why they sent me a reminder 2 months in advance.

I keep getting a Ross banner as my ad on top. Maybe it's a hint.
