OMG, yes! Just recently. They usually claim to be international/foreign med students. I don't accept or respond. Call me a mean Northerner, but I'm highly suspicious!

lol im super paranoid too i just delete. But still its kinda odd....😕
 
So today during shadowing, the doctor I shadow explained to a patient with otosclerosis what that means exactly and what their options are including surgery. It is maybe the 5th time I hear this speech. When we were out of the room-he said that maybe next time I can do that speech.
Of course I thought he was joking. But now I wonder if he is because he has allowed me to do some pretty cool things that I don't think all students who shadow get to do.
I am not sure what the point of this post is other than-holy crap that would be so exciting/scary!
 
Today my research was accepted for a poster presentation at a conference! Woohoo! My update letter to my waitlist schools finally has some meat.

damn, the opposite happened to me today.

my paper was supposed to go to JEM, which is one of the top journals or whatever, but my PI wants to break **** up and rush it into the Journal of Immunology, which isn't bad and I would get 3-4 first authors from my year and a half of research but I wanted one really good paper + one JI one done by december 🙁

none of this matters in real life though, just in my mind

I have. A while ago. I actually have the second one too but it went on the backburner when I had to buy like 500 bucks worth of books per semester...and then read them lol

Here's what I did tonight: Me and my dad were hanging out (cause all the ladies of the family were watching New Moon...so lame) and we rented Caddyshack. But when we got home we realized for some reason we didn't have a house key. But...for some reason...we had a house key to my grandmother's house. So we went there and watched Caddyshack there :laugh:

Great movie, I had never seen it before
 
Well, tonight was pretty uneventful. Tomorrow is a big game - we will dominate Ole Piss (hopefully).

Apparently the KKK will be there in full force to protest the suggested removal of "The South will rise again" from an Ole Piss song. They want to replace it with "Go to Hell LSU!"

That school is so backwards I don't know how anybody gets an education there... :laugh:


Oh wait - they don't.
 
Sammy would like you all to know she just had the best pee she's ever had, and that she is excited for Chinese food... assuming she can make it there stumbling 😀

LOL What a coincidence! Last night I'd gone through my old photobucket that I haven't touched in years! I found some really neat art that I did back in the day, lots of layout pictures for my old livejournal, and even some silly photos/photoshop jobs.

Haha that is what I used my PB for primarily...stuff for LJ. But I did a lot of icons and banners...never could figure out how to do layouts.
These pictures up there are actually the result of me being extremely bored in Calc my junior year in HS. Haha wow I don't know how my teacher didn't just fail me for that.

Florida had pretty close games against Tenessee (10 pts at home), Arkansas (3 pts at home), Miss St. (10pts) and USC (10 pts). I don't know that those guys are any better than OSU and Mizzou, who Texas crushed on the road.

We'll see.
