I just don't cut girls any slack and don't act all cute around them. I blame myself for being single 😛

Just got rejected from Duke, but I'm not upset. I knew it was coming though.

nerd alert! i'm making a spreadsheet for comparing medical schools so i can decide where to go in the spring. that is, assuming i get any more acceptances 🙂xf🙂. so far, categories i have are: pre-clin curriculum structure, clerkship structure/locations, housing, time spent in lecture, anatomy and histology lab features, location, cost, free clinic/community health opportunities, gym, USNWR ranking, grading scheme, frequency of exams, happy students, availability of faculty, do they rank students, whether tutors are available, how good the student health center is, whether there is some sort of wellness initiative to help with stress relief... other ideas? seriously. trivial or not, i'll add it to my list.

• How many hospitals are there?
• How many other med schools are there in the city to fight you for space in those hospitals.
• How early is the first clinical exposure?
• How often do students get to play in said clinical wonderland?

I am sorry about that but at least it didn't steal your heart. I am so nervous that it is going to stomp all over mine come March lol

ooh I am so excited-so in my adv inorganic lab my partner and i came up with a way to make this compound that is usually very difficult to get a pure sample of...once we reproduce our results we can get it published and my schools will get a nice little update letter 😛
love it when awesome things happen when you dont expect them too.

I will say there are a couple of Eminem songs in my iPhone, he's an exception. But only a couple.
 
Feeling pretty nerdy. Got my hands on a free license of Epocrates Essentials (full-version) for my iPhone, and I'm pretty excited. Free for med students.
