nope, the girl i was going to times square with got the flu so i ended up switching plans and going to baltimore. it worked out great though and ended up being a spontaneous reunion with my group of college friends🙂

Awesome. Aside from the fact that Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, is several hours away from Baylor University, in Waco. And not affiliated with them at all :lame:

Yeah... they used to be affiliated with Baylor University, then split and went to Dallas, then moved to the Texas Medical Center in Houston. So it's pretty easy to get confused, as there is a Baylor University in Waco, a Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, and a Baylor College of Medicine in Houston :laugh:

And NOW we might merge with Rice University and become Baylor College of Medicine at Rice University or something like that, just to add to the confusion 😛

But how would he fare on a running track, without a helmet and pads, against the world's fastest man?
We just might find out.
Sources close to the situation told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that representatives for the Titans running back and Olympic champion Usain Bolt of Jamaica have spent recent days trying to set up a race between the two men to determine who really is the world's fastest human.
The race would be used to raise money for charity.
Bolt won three gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, setting world records in the 100 meters and 200 meters and sharing a third world record with the Jamaican 4x100 meter relay team. At last year's world championships, he shattered both of his own sprinting records, running the 100 meters in 9.58 seconds and the 200 meters in 19.19 seconds.
Johnson on Sunday became the NFL's sixth 2,000-yard rusher when he completed his season with 2,006, breaking Earl Campbell's franchise record of 1,934. The second-year back from East Carolina also broke Marshall Faulk's NFL single-season record with 2,254 total yards from scrimmage.
At the 2008 NFL scouting combine, Johnson was timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.24 seconds -- the fastest time clocked at the combine that year.
According to sources, the one hangup seems to be the length of the race. Johnson wants the race to be 60 yards or less, while Bolt would like it to be longer.
Johnson's longest run from scrimmage this season was a 91-yard touchdown run in Week 2.

Nope, that's the Baylor Healthcare system in the Dallas area. I go here. Baylor College of Medicine also has patient services.

Also, to make it clear, currently BCM is one of the very few med schools in the country not associated with an undergrad school--at least unless we wind up merging with Rice. So there's no sports you could find about "my school" 😛

Orlando's airport was crazy - it took almost an hour to check bags and get through security. Never again will I do this crap.

I went to the Browns game yesterday and the wind chill was below zero. Kept warm with plenty of beers and a little hot chocolate. My wallet hurts.

It was worth it though... 4 in a row!!!!

I think if the school has something unique about it that you actually are a great fit for, then I'd say add it in there. If it's just something vague and common like "oh and the school has early clinical exposure and I like that..." or "I like the emphasis on teaching" then I'd leave it out since it seems like fluff.

Then again, if you already wrote a "why this school" secondary essay for that school, it might be a waste unless you have something new to say.
 
Make that two rough games.

Brees was still razor sharp against Tampa but the defense just didn't pull through... and they even had a chance to win in regulation. I don't know. I think they still are the team to beat and not Dallas.
 
I think the Packers look pretty good, too. Although we'll see if the Saints pull their stuff together and look like the team we saw earlier this year

Don't count on the Saints returning to form.

They peaked in that Monday night game against the Patriots, and it's been all downhill since then.

Not only did they lose to the Cowboys and Buccaneers (yikes! a 3-13 team) at home, they barely squeaked by the Redskins and Falcons (without Ryan and Turner) before that.

I think the Saints are one-and-done.

agreed. All i want is just to see the colts dominate regardless😛. Also today i got 2 acceptance calls!! it was sweet and best of all one was a UC school. Now i get to stay in cali yay! On the down side, I have a nonrefundable ticket to Oregon now that im stuck with lol...idk if i just go to the interview for fun or just not go but then my ticket is just useless and i wasted 200 bucks 🙁....I should have read the fine print.

you just just cancel your interview but visit portland anyway!

i think if you cancel there is a penalty of like 125 or something so you might get to keep 75

that's awesome!!! i'm so happy for you that you get to stay in cali!:-D sorry about the flight though, could you switch it to somewhere else or use it later even if they charge you a fee to do it?

I could...basically they said i can get a 100 dollar credit to another flight that expires if i dont use it this year....but its for alaska airlines and sadly they dont fly to that many places so even if i got the credit i wouldnt even use it most likely to fly somewhere else.

No clue, i guess i will just not go to the interview. I should free up that interview spot for someone who would actually attend. Though my interview is on 1/12, i hope that doesnt piss them off. 🙁
