Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yeah Jordan playing for the Wiz was like a really bad alternate ending on DVD.

The real ending should have been hitting the series-winning jumper against the Jazz to wrap up the repeat-three-peat.

John Elway did it right.
So did David Robinson 🙂
I've said this before, but it's become so apparent this season.

Good, reliable kickers are SO rare in the NFL.

If Suisham makes those two FGs, we're at 17-9. One-possession game.
Truth.

I'm so annoyed that the Cowboys are going to lose this game, but Jerry Jones is probably so pleased about last week's win that Wade Phillips' job is probably safe. If we had this team coached by Bill Cowher or Mike Shannahan, I think we'd have a real chance.

Yes, Dallas getting its ass handed to them. Outstanding.

To be fair, they were both pretty long. Still, should have made 1 of them, probably.

Yeah, they were a little long. Weren't the 48 and 49?

A great kicker should be 50% from 50+, 90% from 45-49, and a sure thing from 45 on in. Especially in a dome.

There have been SO many shankjobs from 40 on in this season.

Shayne Graham missed 2 from <40 for the Bengals last week, Rackers missed the potential game-winner just before OT from <40 for the Cardinals last week.

yea david robinson went out well. hakeem had to go play for the raptors, if he went out at the right time he would have been considered the best center ever. a lot of ppl still think that way. the guy schooled robinson and shaq in the playoffs

Nah, dude. Suisham got cut by the Skins for bonering a 20 yarder that would have iced the game against the then-undefeated Saints.

Then the Cowboys cut Nick Folk for bonering 20 yarder that also would have iced the game against the Saints.

And the Cowboys signed Suisham right after that.

well maybe he's officially playing for the cowboys, but i think brooklyn was saying that based off his performance today, he's still a redskin at heart

yea but i meant he's playing like he's playing for the redskins

that penalty is ridiculous

Hakeem was awesome. Definitely in the conversation for best ever.

One of the worst was Ewing with the Sonics and then the Magic.

*sigh*

that penalty is too much i hate that running into the kicker ****

i think the worst is the "driving the quarterback into the ground" during a sack.

i dont think i can remember a playoffs with so many lopsided no contests. At least next week looks to be great with ind/sd and min/saints. Part of me hopes sd has a complete breakdown so ind has an easy road to the superbowl 🙂

There are not many guys who can do that consistently. Especially 50% from 50+. That's faaaar.

I think we've had this conversation recently. Yeah, he was awesome. But you can argue best center of all time until the cows come home. The only 2 positions that you really can't argue about are PF (Duncan) and SG (Jordan). Maybe PG (Magic).

It's such a sleepy Sunday. I love it.

You boys and your sports talk... Your enthusiasm is admirable.

Yeah, we did. Center you can't really can't ever settle the discussion, there are just too many great ones from across different eras. I do think that Magic is pretty hard to argue against, and until LeBron wins a couple of titles I'm going to have some difficulty seeing an argument against Bird at SF.

Dr J and Elgin Baylor come to mind. But yeah, Bird is probably the best, at least for now.

How much longer are the Cowboys gonna pretend that Romo is the next Favre? Favre gets it done, Romo just chokes.

I mean, his offensive line was pretty terrible. But year, the two (3?) turnovers didn't help.

I'm gonna be so annoyed if we have to deal with another season of Wade Phillips' corpse coaching on the sidelines.

Yeah, I was going to ask if you think Wade will or should be back next season.

Weird. If the Chargers win, this weekend will have been all chalk.

I heard this on the radio yesterday: anyone know the last time the two #1 seeds met in the Super Bowl?

I don't think he should be, especially with some pretty good options out there (Cowher comes immediately to mind).

But he probably will be.

On the other hand, I guess the Vikings aren't thrilled with their coach either:

Bill Simmons said:
short of coming out after halftime without pants, or actually setting a challenge flag on fire and burning it, (Brad Childress) couldn't do anything that would shock Vikes fans

Man. Don't take me to Vegas.

So typical, really. Cowboys wait until I actually manage to get myself believing before blowing up.

What's with the Vikings running up the score? Who do they think they are, the Patriots?

Hi everyone.
I have just learned that you should not go to the grocery store on Sunday unless you want to get run over by some crazy ppl.

I wonder how Tony Romo's career might have been if he hadn't screwed up that kick hold in his first year. I do think he has a mental block against big games.

omg stoney....i thought i'd share this amazingness since you are an A-town girl!
The smores, strawberry and the dulce de leche donuts look AMAZING!

But at least it's still in a dome. Were the Vikings' losses outside or in a dome?

They lost to Pittsburgh in October, Arizona in early December, and Carolina and Chicago in late December.

The only teams they beat on the road were Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis, and Green Bay.

So they beat one good team on the road, a few bad ones, and lost to some decent-bad teams on the road.

Vikings are not good on the road, though.

True dat. We have the Domefield advantage.

What's with the Vikings running up the score? Who do they think they are, the Patriots?

That was really douchey, IMO. They had chance to just run the clock out by running the ball.
