anywho, we just watched Orphan tonight, it was a good scary uncomfortable movie

I liked it. It was pretty creepy.

it's just America being America again...we have to do it our own way no matter what...

I hate that about America. It really pisses me off. Why can't we use the metric system? It's more user-friendly and intuitive, plus the rest of the world uses it.

America just has that "we're better than you, and even if we aren't we'll at least do it different so we can act better than you" attitude.

I'm all for helping Haiti and everything, but I feel a bit jipped that Haiti is getting more and quicker aid initially than the US Gulf Coast, our own people, did after Hurricane Katrina.

Hope I can figure out my class dilemma.

i'm wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem as i am right now - i tried to book a hotel, and when i submitted my request it took me straight back to the start page for booking that hotel. i tried submitting twice. i never got a confirmation email and so far my credit card hasn't been charged, but i don't want to try booking again because i might triple book lol.

That sounds odd. Usually you get a confirmation email immediately after it goes through.

I hate when websites that deal with transactions have issues and it could result in you getting charged multiple times and having to get your money refunded.

It definitely works better if you restrict it to only 1 region of where you want to stay, and even better if the region is small.

Sometimes your hotel could technically be in the region you want, but still really far away from where you want to be.

you're the one who said you like searching for good deals on vacations, right brooklyn? my friend and i want to go on a cruise the end of july/early august. i kinda want to do one that's not the same old carribean cruise cuz i've done that before. maybe either europe or alaska or somewhere else cool. if you feel like trying to help me look for a good deal i'd love the help! we'd be leaving from nyc, so either a cruise that leaves from there or a flight going out of there to wherever it leaves from.

actually, i think my friend wanted to go alaska for the summer. he said flights are 480 rt ish or lower. im gonna have to look more into it though

thats my plan . . . become a plastic surgeon, live in a small cheap apartment and drive my used car for years until i save enough to buy an island and retire on it.
