Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i'm gonna miss the hockey game... lab group dinner boo
Its okay....catch the womens game, USA vs. Sweden. If they advance, and they should, they will play Canada. TC is on fire, so it should be a good game barring a complete US meltdown. :xf:

USA! USA! USA!

hmmmmmmmm i think now would be a good time to pad my post count

You're still up blobby bob? Can I call you blobby bob?

I haven't been useful on SDN in a while so I'm taking the time now to actually post meaningful responses to people's questions and concerns.

i like blobby bob. it's kind of catchy

and good for you for being useful. i usually just end up writing a non-coherent long post that gets ignored, haha

Ugh, more Detroit bashing.

I think they can do the Olympics in Michigan, but people are too scared of Detroit for no reason.

The only difference between Detroit and Chicago realistically (other than population and better shopping in Chicago) is that you can walk around Chicago at 4 a.m. and feel safe. If you walk around Detroit at 4 a.m. you will get mugged. That is why they can't put the olympics in Detroit. The police can't get rid of hobos walking around for the auto-show; I can't imagine how bad it will be if they had an event as long as the olympics. Although, I give mad props to the city for what they did during the superbowl and final four. I don't know where they hid the hobos and criminals, but they sure cleaned it up for those two events.

meh nothing... Can't sleep. Just got home from the night. Work at 11 so it's not all that bad.

What are you up to?

Ps - you're right, this is prime post-pad time, lol

aren't you on the east coast though? it's only 1 here on the west so it's not so bad

i'm watching this show "huff" about this psychiatrist who has a midlife crisis when a patient commits suicide in his office

pretty interesting but makes me want to not do psychiatry

I was saying it isn't all that bad because I normally work at 7am... so 11 is kind of like a gift, even in this situation

Nice... Psych is more or less out of the question for me. I find it kind of depressing. All the psych patients I've ever encountered (and I've been with a lot at work) are essentially on the same narrow spectrum of drugs and don't seem to be doing better.

yeah, i agree with you about the psych patients. i suppose i've still got some time before deciding on a specialty, though

I don't like it when people feel like they have to answer every freakin thread in this forum and have the last post.

lol i didnt notice until you pointed it out

what in the world drives a person to do that?

hummus? haha

Is this your solution to all of life's problems?

I think you suggested this last time too... haha

I don't like it when people feel like they have to answer every freakin thread in this forum and have the last post.

You may resume productive conversation now.

4 am is a good time to try to do it. I thikn it would be kind of impressive actually.

And why don't you stick around float?

I will for a little, but I told blobby bob I was going to help our fellow pre-meds and post quality responses so I can't go back on my word now, ya feels me?

I feel ya homie

Bob - it's painfully obvious

Now get to 1,000 already

ps - don't reach tonight. gotta have more people around for the celebration

i think it's because i just got a lot of hummus from costco the other day

I love Costco (formerly known as Price Club)! I love their taquitos. And berry smoothies near check-out.

is it obvious that i'm purposefully splitting up my posts into smaller posts in an effort to get to 1000 faster?

Yes, very much.

So float, what kind of crazy schedule are you on? You're the latest up almost every night AND you're on the east coast!

well there's not that many pre-meds out there that need help

Very true. They are all bright young minds that are going to get into every med school they apply to. I am sure of this.

I'm only taking 12 credits this semester and TA'ing for two bio classes so I'm mostly gone during the day. And then I just vegetate when I get back. Basically, I go to bed around 3 or 4 regardless of when I have to get up, so sometimes I'll get enough sleep and sometimes I won't. I also wake up around 2 pm on the weekends, so yeah...

shooooot what if i go to a med school that doesn't have a costco nearby?

HOLY **** that would suck. You definitely have to factor this in when picking your school. Where else are you going to get free samples and buy your toilet paper in bulk?

Ahh I see. I'm more on an up and down schedule. Sometimes fall asleep at 1030, sometimes 430 am. Weird.

you're right. my new list of priorities when choosing medical schools:
1) distance to nearest taco bell
2) availability of hummus in local markets
3) distance to nearest costco
4) ....actually, i think i've got all my priorities covered with the above stuff

Interviewer: So, that's all... You have any questions for me?
Bob: Umm, yeah, I was wondering how available hummus in your local grocery stores??
