i had a really weird dream last night that this girl i went to high school with got murdered by some dirty cops. then me and jack bauer and some other people were trying to hunt them down and there was a huge shootout. it was scary!
 
I had a pretty traumatizing dream too, but if I told y'all, everyone would think I was crazy. I don't remember all of it, but I do vaguely remember the Wicked Witch of the West being in Disney World, but Disney was moved to St. Louis (that wasn't even in the traumatizing part of the dream).

I rarely remember my dreams but I had a dream that there was a mass suicide in an Olympic size pool and I saw tons of dead floating bodies. Weird.

Bad night for SDN dreams apparently.

i just sent the kiddies outside in the snow and it's hillarious because the snow is so high they can't really walk so they're like swimming through it while falling over and giggling...so cute!
 
I remember about 95% of my dreams. It is really weird. Most I just stop thinking about as I brush my teeth but some are just freaky. Example:
There is a labyrith like pool and a beluga whale swimming in it. It is just kind of chilling and minding its own business. All of a sudden, these gates open and sharks start swimming in. They like chase after the beluga whale and try to bite chunks off. It got pretty intense...I only remember one successful bite and then I woke up.

Oh but even worse than freaky dreams....are waking dreams where you dream very convincingly that you are awake. Usually in these you either wake up late which is AWFUL to wake up after....always so anxious. Sometimes though I dream that I accomplished something I have been working towards for a long while...and it sucks to wake up after those too.

My dreams are often crazy too. Like lot of them make no sense whatsoever.

I had a scary dream too last night!! What a coincidence! In my dream, I totalled my car, and although I survived and so did my friends who were with me, it was still scary.

I frequently remember my dreams as well. And you're right, the weirdest ones are the ones that you believe you are awake. Those can become very confusing later on too as you try to remember whether you actually did something or not.

When are you going to buy this stuff? Now or later? At some of my interviews, I was told about students who purchased houses near the schools, and I thought it was an interesting idea.

i'm also flirting with the idea of switching jobs. my project has to be done soon. when do u guys plan on moving to wherever your med school is

Eh, well, depending on the school I get into (if I get into one :xf:🙂:xf:), then I will most likely move in at the end of July.

I have dejavu too, but it comes and goes in waves though. Like last week, for instance, I had several moments of dejavu two days in a row, but then I will go for a month or two without anything like that.

Yeah it's slightly wack. I flew a couple of times from Kingston >> Miami, Miami >> New York, and there isn't really too much going on there. Plus when I get off the plane from jamaica I have to pick up my checked bags and be searched for cocaine.

probably beginning of august if school starts mid august, unless i go to suny downstate and live in the dorms-then you can't move in til a few days before classes start.

buying a house/apt is an interesting idea. i have no idea how to go about doing that though. i think i'll have like 10k saved up, is that even enough for a downpayment?


brooklyn-are you guys getting a snowstorm in the next couple days? how much/when? i hope it's done by fri so my friend can drive up from va.

down payment is like 10% depending on where, you can ask your parents to go in with you if you need to extra few grand.

i think the only way i would buy a house (in a place thats not philadelphia, cuz i would totally live here for 8 years or if i didn't do md phd because then it would absolutely make sense) is if the cost of renting in a market is still really high while the cost of buying a condo/apt took a hit. so maybe the mortgage + maintenance + tax - rent from a roommate would near the cost of renting. if not, then i dont think its worth it

I'm sad that I'm missing all these blizzards. My fiance thinks I'm sick for complaining about missing snow when I'm sitting in 80 degree weather. But we're also in the middle of a drought here, so snow would be nice! Any precipitation would be nice. No running water for the past ~2 weeks.

the highway isn't bad, septa slows down, the worst is all the roads in philadelphia that isn't market or broad. some of them still have crazy layers of ice that you have to skid over

We live in the cuts, where people don't believe in plowing because they just don't understand why you're even leaving your house in such weather. The public schools by us close every time the brandywine floods. Wimps!

ok so maybe she'll be ok if she's driving through there early afternoon.

ya i'll probably just stick w renting since i don't know anything about buying and it probably wouldn't be worth it anyways.

sammich-i won't be mad as long as you go the rest of the week. you've gone the past 3 days so i think you deserve a rest day🙂 i'm gonna have my rest day be saturday since my friend will hopefully be here visiting as long as the weather cooperates.

Honestly, I'd listen to what your body is saying. A lot of times I ignore it anyway but I am crazy 😀. Nice and slow will be good for you Sammie, so if you need this rest-take it.

Plus my legs are really sore, so I'm sure they'll appreciate the break 🙂 I'll make sure I'm good the rest of the week.

Unfortunately, I'll be in FL Sunday - Friday so I'm not sure how much I'll be working out next week.
